"Darling, could you walk anywhere faster? Alex have to leave anytime soon!" Alex's mother, Eliz Kavanagh, sigh to herself as she hold him closer by his shoulder, afraid of losing her one and only son. The train will be leaving in another fifteen minutes and Alex's father, Joseph Kavanagh were looking at his wrist watch every five seconds since they stepped inside the platform.
"Good grace, love- wait up, will you? You're practically running over there!" Joseph were soon, catching up behind the two of his love ones, watching as Alex carry his own trunk that he decorated himself back home. His lips curls into a small smile. "Nervous?" He ask.
There's this weird feelings deep inside his chest, knowing that he'll be separated from his parents for half a year, though he isn't quite sure what it is exactly. "I'm not sure." He shrug, watching some of the students walk inside the train, carrying their trunk inside. "It's alright to be nervous. You know that right? On my first day, i got a really bad stomachache i thought i had a food poison." Eliz say with a smile as she pat Alex's shoulder gently as a sign of reassurance.
"Not helping, love." Joseph chuckle though quickly regain his composure as he kneel in front of Alex, fixing his neat collar and tie. "Just remember to send us letters and make some good friends over there, you understand? Off you go now, you look fantastic." Joseph says again with an awe face before standing up again.
Alex simply listened and nod his head at his parents antics as he glance to the train once again. "Will do, father. I'll see you both soon. Do reply to my letters or notice me on anything and- keep an eye on stray cats or dogs when you see one. They seem lonely most of the times." He speak, one hand fidget around the pocket of his trouser.
Both of his parents smile at his mention of the strays. "Of course, sweet dove. Take care of yourself. Read books and more importantly try to stay away from the lake because i know you won't cause much trouble. Or will you change that too?" Eliz now speaks with the same smile on her face before she glance to the train. "Will try to, mother." Alex's lips curls up just slightly as he starts to walk towards the train, giving both of his parents last glance before stepping inside tight space.
" The lesson of history is that no one learns. "
