The start of a new month signalled the start of a new race, and a new experience for Mylo. They had been rigorously preparing for this event and was very excited to see the fruits of their labour come to fruition.

They had gotten very lucky with the weather as it seemed like spring had come early, appearing to celebrate the new match with the racers and allowing the sun to make a very rare appearance on the Scottish countryside they found themselves on. Not that Mylo was complaining in the slightest as it meant they didn't have to wear a huge jacket to keep himself warm.

Looking over at the starting line though Mylo was also happy for the racers that the weather was nicer, as he couldn't think of much worse than having to race through a downpour or in the freezing cold. The weather however wasn't a concern at this point in time as it was unlikely that anybody in the stands had come for a riveting commentary on the weather, no they were all here for the 12 students who had gathered to try and bring glory to their house.

Remembering what they had been practicing (for far too long probably) Mylo quickly took a last deep breath and adressed the crowd.

"Welcome everyone to the Spring races, our second one of the day! This afternoon we will see another two teams try and take home the victory for their house!" Taking a small pause to let anticipation build. "This match will see the Gryffindors and Slytherins race against each other! Racers please get ready to start, on your marks, get set, GO!" Mylo shouted, equally excited and nervous to be moderating their very first race.
