Amalie entered the bookstore, and was greeted by a clerk. She returned the greeting and glanced around. Immediately, she was hit by the wonderful smell of books, her favourite scent. If it were possible to make a perfume of it, she would buy gallons of it. Everywhere she looked, there were books, books, and more books. Oh this is truly a paradise. I could spend the money Papa gave me for the year in just one day if I stay here.

Trying not to get distracted, Amalie looked for her parents and found them reminiscing over the school books. She laughed at them, took out the list of supplies she had been sent along with the letter and went to find her own books.

Amalie had read her brother's copy of Hogwarts, A History multiple times before, and now was looking forward to have a look at the rest of the textbooks. After finding all the books she needed, she browsed around for some storybooks. When she was done choosing ten books with great difficulty, Amalie grabbed a journal, parchment rolls, quills and an inkpot and went to stand in the long line to the counter. After she had paid and left the store with her parents, her money pouch felt significantly lighter, but hey, at least she was satisfied with her purchases.
