As soon as Aldric walked him he tripped over a golden pot. “Oops’ he said. Another kid (first year no doubt) ran towards the pot but the cauldron unluckily decided to roll out of the store. Aldrics brother raised an eyebrow at Aldric. Then they burst out laughing. His brother had done the EXACT same thing when he was a first year. Then their parents and sisters walked in and started looking around. Aldric looked at his list.

A cauldron (standard tin model, size 2);
A box of glass or crystal phials;
Copper scales.

He assumed he could find that all here. He looked around and saw many different sized cauldrons and scales. He grabbed a cauldron that was gold.

“Aldric, put that down. That's not on your list” his father said in a stern voice.

“Oops sorry father” he replied. He set the cauldron down and grabbed a smaller tin one. Then he walked over to the phials and grabbed a box of glass phials. He then found the copper scales he needed and looked over at his brother, who was struggling to find what he needed. Aldric walked over to another section of the store. In this section There were self heating and self stirring couldrons. He was impressed. Before he could try one his mother called him and they went to check out.
