Hogwarts Letter

It was a hot July day. The air was filled with the sound of birds and children enjoying their summer holidays.
Katherine sits in the back room of Silverberry Brews, curled up with a book. she had been reading and re-reading Hogwarts a History all summer. Her parents are in the front of the shop, managing their customers. It may be summer, but the shop remains open, kept cool by charms and opened windows that let in a cooling breeze.
In a matter of weeks, it would be September 1st, the start of her first year at Hogwarts. After all these years, she would be old enough to attend.
She hears a hoot from the front room that didn't sound like Emor, the family owl. Before her mother could even call for her, she bolted up, running into the shop to see if it was what she believed it was.
In the open window sat a barn owl. In his beak, a large parchment envelope with a red seal.

She immediately shrieks with joy, taking the letter eagerly from the owl.
"Mum! Dad! My letter, it came!"
She rips open the letter, eagerly reading the words written by the Headmaster. She feels both her parents reading over her shoulder.
She smiled wide. The letter in her hands was her entrance to the magical world she had lived in but never got to fully participate in. It was her chance to get out.
