Noctua sat in the corner his train compartment, his head against the glass and his legs curled to his chest. He had long finished with Hogwarts: A History, and with nothing to do, he was now blankly looking out the window.

His trunk sat on the opposite bench, as he was too tired, or just didn't care, to put it in the overhead rack, and too wary to simply leave it in the corridor, where whatever could happen to it. It was a magical train, filled with of magical strangers, after all.

Noctua was still slightly bummed that his mother had refused him an owl, claiming that; "You're just not ready. Yes, yes, I'm sorry. How about we wait another year and try again? Plus, you said there was an owlery in your school, so you can just play with the owls in there, how about it?" He huffed, he was plenty ready! All his fish had lived on to lead happy, healthy lives, except for— ..okay maybe he wasn't ready.

He sighed, reaching over and unlocking his trunk, pulling out a bookmark alongside Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Noctua spent the rest of the train ride reading.

✧˖°. Train Ride to Hogwarts ‧₊˚ ⊹
Lennon was walking down the corridor of the train and he was dragging his heavy trunk because his weak muscles were realy hurting and he was feeling very sluggish. He kept looking for a place to sit because he was sleepy but every room was full of loud kids and he just wanted somewhere quiet where he could do some mathamatics in his head. He saw a compartment with a boy sitting by the glass looking at a book and he thought the boy looked realy nice and not too loud. Lennon knocked on the door realy softly and pushed it open just a tiny bit while he gave a small nod to be polite.
"Hi, I am Lennon," he said in a quiet voice because he didn't want to be annoying. "Can I sit here because I am realy tired and my legs feel like lead." He saw the book the boy was reading and his eyes got a bit wider behind his glasses because he liked books too. "Is that Fantastic Beasts? I have read that one and it has realy good logic about how the animals hide from muggles." Lennon sat down on the edge of the seat and tried to be a nice guy by not taking up too much space. He saw the trunk on the bench and he wondered if the boy was worried about his stuff too. "I don't have an owl either because I don’t have enough for one." He hoped the boy would want to talk about the beasts in his book so Lennon wouldn't fall asleep before they even got to the castle.
