Books, a source of calm (Open)
Sara glanced about the library. It wasn't empty, but close enough. With few others in sight, Sara began to read. It was a boring book, one she'd read plenty of times, but it had to be done for class and there was no escape. It was a shame. She was wasting her time here, in the library, when she could have been doing other things?
'But what, exactly?' Sara asked herself. She had no friends, at least, not yet. She could be back to her common room, but it was so loud, and it was hard for her to focus. Sara almost wished she was home again, sitting with her dog in front of the fireplace. But no, she had to be here, doing homework. At least they didn't have electives yet. Sara brightened at this thought. The electives she wanted to take weren't boring at all. Arithmancy, Ancient Runes, and Care of Magical Creatures were totally the highest on her list of elective choices. But out of all of them, Care of Magical creatures would be her favorite. Erasing all thoughts from her mind, Sara continued to read Beginner's guide to Transfiguration. She already knew all about Transfiguration. It had been her mother's best subject, and hopefully, hers too.

Elowin was chilling in her common room reading a book about food and writing in her diary when a sudden urge told her to go to the library (probably because it was so noisy up there!) , so she did. There she saw a pretty girl with purple hair and vivid eyes. She was reading a book called Beginners guide to Transfiguration. Elowin wondered if the girl liked Transfiguration so she walked up to the girl to ask. “Hi!” She said brightly. “My name is Elowin! What is your name? By the way I love your purple hair it’s super pretty, I have pink hair. Is yours dyed or are you a metamorphagus? Sorry…. I talk A LOT!! I know that it can be overwhelming. Do you want to be friends? Sorry I don’t even know your name yet!” Then Elowin started giggling, snorting and full core laughing! “I just keep talking and haven’t let you say a word! Oh my gosh I’m so so so so so so so so so…. Ok I’m out of so’s , sorry! Anyway…. I have two questions for you, the first is What is your name and, do you want to be friends?”
