𝓦hile most of his books were going to be given to him from his sister there was two books he was going to need to get new as she was taking them along with her on her travels in the fall, ‘A History of Magic’ and the ‘Book of Spells’. Both books she told him would be vital to his education journey in Hogwarts and beyond. So after leaving his brother behind, Maya and him headed to Flourish and Blotts. Leo had been there many times before, accompanying the twins for their required books as well as with his mother when she would come to look for certain books. He was always a fan of wandering through the store and glancing at all the books that were stacked up on the shelves.

Today was no different. As soon as he entered, he smiled as he was greeted with the familiar shelves of old and new books of all sorts. His sister went off to check out some new books so Leo went on his own to find the school texts he would need. As he wandered around he let his fingers run across the spines of the books as he glanced at the titles trying to find the ones he needed. He came across many titles that caught his attention but he knew he couldn’t spend frivolously today as his mother told him to only get the necessary materials for the upcoming school year and nothing else.

Once he found the section he was looking for he scanned for the first book he needed and grabbed it off the shelf, holding it tight in his arms. He quickly looked around for the next book and smiled as he found it but was met with another person reaching for it at the same time. “Oh-“ Was all he could manage to get out as they both tried to grab the book.

L A A S Y A

Laasya had reached Diagon Alley with her parents and now they wind up its streets looking for the needed supplies. They went to Gringotts to get the needed galleons, sickles and knuts as her parents were muggles and would obviously not have this type of currency beforehand. Then they went to Ollivanders for her wand. She returned outside of the shop with a 26,0 cm hawthorn wood and basilisk horn wand. According to Ollivander, it was slightly bendy and ideal for duels. After the wand was her textbooks. The number of them required was not little; there were 7 required. She made her way over to Flourish and Blotts. Her parents decided to stay outside the shop and gave the pouch to her, while warning her to buy whatever was necessary and to not spend the whole lot. There may have been many interesting things at Diagon Alley that caught her eye, however she knew that she did not have any older siblings to borrow any hand-me-down textbooks and that she would have to buy new ones. She said a quick bye to her parents before entering the shop. As soon as she entered the shop, she was awestruck by the number of books in it. Except for the windows, it felt like the whole shop was covered in them. The smell of parchment was noticeable in the air and the sound of pages flipping could be heard every second or so. This place was paradise for a book lover like Laasya. But she had to buy only the essential textbooks as she did not want to waste the galleons in her pouch which could maybe be used to buy an ice cream from that parlour she heard about. It would only have to cost some money and would need her to convince her mother. Anyways she went over the shopping list again, noting the books she needed. She got what she needed, checking each book title in the list again to make sure she did not forget anything. She was very excited to read each and every one of the textbooks as soon as she reached home. She did not know much about the wizarding world yet and she was not allowed to cast magic outside of school so those books would be the only way to introduce her to this new world. Laasya just needed one more book; A History Of Magic which by the title was a history book. She found one on the shelf but just as she was about to get it she saw a boy her age grab for it. She wasn't exactly keen on having a fight over the book and making enemies way before she made a friend. "Wait. You need this book too?" She said.
