Again??

@Tina Carille

Noah wasn’t really reading.He tried really he did try to read but it was one of those days when he miss home a little too much.
The book was open, yeah but he have been on the same page for like… ten.. twenty minutes or so he was not keeping track. His eyes kept drifting, people-watching his sister called it instead of actually doing anything useful with his life nor day.
It was quieter today. Rain tapping lightly against the windows again.
Then
He saw her.
Noah blinked,blinked again just to make sure his eyes are not playing tricks on him.
Yeah she is 100% real
Immediately, his brain went back to that moment without consent to Alexander on the floor, her helping him up, the whole painfully awkward scene playing out like a memory he didn’t ask for.
He breath deeply through his nose, looking back down at his book for a second.
…do I say hi?
He glanced up again.
She was alone this time.
Okay.
Yeah.
Why not.
Noah closed his book with a soft thud and got up, walking over not rushed cuz that will look way too desperate, just casual like he happened to be going that way anyway.
When he got close enough
“Hey".
Simple.
He leaned a hand lightly on the edge of the table, not sitting yet.
“Library again. You planning to drop more people today or just books this time?”
There was a small grin there. teasing, but not mean.
A beat.
Then, a little more normal:
“You’re ... I actually never got your name".
"I am Naoh by the way"

Again??
@Noah Chase
I was just putting some library books back onto the shelves, alone, when I heard someone say, “Hey, Library again. You planning to drop more people today or just books this time?” the boy from the other day said with a little laugh. I felt my face go hot. My face was also still streaked with tears and my face was still blotchy from crying in the bathroom. It was actually embarrassing because he thought I dropped stuff. I held the huge stack of books tighter and then put the stack onto a table. “You’re ... I actually never got your name. I am Noah by the way." I looked at him and said, “Hi Noah. My name is Tina Carille, and I’m a Ravenclaw. It’s nice to meet you. Formally at least.” then I added. “Oh and I don’t usually drop stuff. Or people. I didn’t know what you meant by that.” I leaned on the table that my books were on. “Soo…” I said, inviting conversation. “Do you feel like helping me put these books away? Or not, you don’t have to. I just have to put these away. But you know what, I need someone to talk to. No I’m not useing you for conversation, if that’s what you think..” I rambled in about one breath. I paused and waited for his answer, he seemed like the type who wouldn’t shy away from a conversation. In fact he came up to me!
