This is your home. Please, remember to be nice to each other, and remember: There's no such thing as a word limit in this Department.

She tells a story to the crowd
As she stands in a spotlight
The blazing white light makes her sweat
But she doesn't mind
Bird know they are meant to fly
Fish know they are meant to swim
And she knows she is meant for this
If you asked her how she knew
She wouldn't be able to give an answer
Its a feeling, deep in her soul
Like a soft lullaby in time to her heart
She tells a story with her words
With her face
With her voice
And when she takes the final bow
She can only hope
That they got as much from it as she did
She tells a story to the crowd
As she stands in a spotlight
The blazing white light makes her sweat
But she doesn't mind
Bird know they are meant to fly
Fish know they are meant to swim
And she knows she is meant for this
If you asked her how she knew

The three Pain poems are 13 line rhyming poems about pain’s different meanings with Part 1. focusing on pain as in hurt, Part 2. on pain as in the insult and part 3. on mental pain
| Pain Part 1. Why do I write, Why do I recite, When I’m troubled, And in pain, It my go insane, Should I refrain, Or my hand be inflamed, But my brain Has the reign When jumps In excitement, When I wright With my hand in pain. |
Pain Part 2. Should I refrain, From calling people A pain, And picking then with a needle, Even though, It’s illegal, Or hitting them with a hoe, And that they look They look like dough, Or commenting they can’t read a book With there hook, Saying it with disdain And calling them a pain. |
Pain Part 3. The pain that I feel, Is not about rejection Loss Or boredom, It is about the Pain, Writing about pain Even if it will rain, I feel no pain I reject Happiness Sadness And I feel pain |

When you scream so hard you can't feel your throat,
When all of your sorrow can't fit in your chest,
When all of your strength ran out of your muscles,
When all of your energy is out of your brain,
When you try so hard that you already stopped trying,
And when you cry so much that your tears aren't enough,
When all that you want is to disappear,
What do you do?
What comes after the great storm? What comes next once your chips are down?
What if your sorrow never heals? What if you already ran out of a mouth to scream?
What if this feeling never goes away?
When all of your sorrow can't fit in your chest,
When all of your strength ran out of your muscles,
When all of your energy is out of your brain,
When you try so hard that you already stopped trying,
And when you cry so much that your tears aren't enough,
When all that you want is to disappear,
What do you do?
What comes after the great storm? What comes next once your chips are down?
What if your sorrow never heals? What if you already ran out of a mouth to scream?
What if this feeling never goes away?

When I smile
It’s fake
When I cry
I feel good
I hide behind lies
Because it makes me feel okay
When I know I’m not okay
But the thought of being okay
Makes it a bit better
It’s fake
When I cry
I feel good
I hide behind lies
Because it makes me feel okay
When I know I’m not okay
But the thought of being okay
Makes it a bit better

She is tired
Everyday
She gets out of bed
Everyday
She leaves on time for school
Everyday
She pays attention during class
Everyday
She smiles at her friends during lunch
Everyday
She rides the bus home
Everyday
She completes her homework
Everyday
She brushes her hair and teeth
Everyday
She goes to sleep
Everyday
Knowing she will do the same thing
Everyday
That she will wake up and be tired
Everyday
And have the same wish
Everyday
That one day
Everyday will not be like the last
Someday
She will wake up and be full of adventure
Someday
She will pave her own path instead of the given one
Someday
She will let her mind wonder wherever it pleases
Someday
She will be unafraid to tell the harsh truths
Someday
She will let herself go from the prison she put herself in
But that will be someday
For now she is tired
Everyday
Everyday
She gets out of bed
Everyday
She leaves on time for school
Everyday
She pays attention during class

She smiles at her friends during lunch

No, I don't like you. I can't like you. I definitely don't sit up all day, waiting for a message, and I certainly don't think of you all day.No, I don't like you.
I definitely don't dream about you, and no, I don't think about your beautiful curls and that warm, sweet smile of yours, or the way your eyes light up when you smile.
No, I can't like you. Cause if I admitted it, if I said how bad I am for you, then what?
You definitely don't like me. I'm not your type. I'm not pretty, or smart, or anything worth looking at. I'm not like them.
And making myself illusions of a love that I know won't ever work out...
I don't wanna break my heart again.
So no. Idon't like you.

When will it be my turn?
Riddle me that, dumb boy
When will I get a shot at being yours?
Me
The nerd in the back row
The one you tease
And bully
The one that smiles at you when you’re not watching
The one the daydreams of you and her being friends
When will it be my turn?
She had her turn
First the pretty one
Then the popular one
What’s next?
Someone a year older than you?
I waited my turn.
I waited as long as I could
And then you broke up with the first girl
Sure
I was happy
Then you went to another girl
I don’t mind
It’ll be my turn soon
My turn never came
So I stopped them
I stopped my feelings
My daydreams
My fantasies
But you never stop surprising me
When you smile at me out of no where
When you laugh at my joke
When you stare at me
And you give me all your attention
I sit there
Frozen
Because I thought you didn’t care
About me
Do you?
I didn’t think so
That’s why I stopped waiting for my turn.
Riddle me that, dumb boy
When will I get a shot at being yours?

The last words
Written by a pen
As she picks up a computer
And never writes by hand again
The last strokes
Of her painters brush
Now cameras are the newest tool
Creating a perfect portrait of us
The last words
Of her very own voice
Technology speaks for her now
She's given it up by choice
Have we gone too far
No
Are you sure
Yes
But your ears tell a different truth
As you remember every last word
The secrets that they held
They are trying to warn you
They are trying to warn you
They are trying to war-
The last words
Its not anything fancy, I was just bored
