An Unexpected Possibility

It's finally time. Robin took a deep breath and stepped in the cozy store packed from ceiling to floor with various wands. His parents came with him on this trip, but they haven't visited Diagon Alley since their graduation from Hogwarts, so they decided to leave Robin with some money and wander off on a shopping spree themselves.
Ollivanders was his last stop. Browsing the bookstore was honestly more exciting for him, but getting his very own wand - or rather seeing which wand will want to choose him - is something he had always been curious about.
As he inhaled the woody scent that gives him comfort much like a stack of old books, the infamous Ollivander emerged from behind the counter: "Welcome, Mr. Lockett. Here for your wand, I see?"
After an exchange of greetings and a somewhat chilling reminder that Ollivander knows his parents, Robin started to try out some wands. The first two were complete failures, and he had no idea why. Well, people always say "third time's the charm", and they're right.
"21.8 centimeter aspen wood and unicorn hair." Ollivander nodded with approval, "Fairly flexible, perfect for fighting spells . . . this one's intended for an accomplished duelist."
Robin was very confused. He was always on the more scholarly side, and never thought of dueling as an option. As a matter of fact, he is weak, has pretty low stamina, and only ever "read" about dueling in defense against the dark arts textbooks. Ollivander seemed to pick up on his hesitation and chuckled a bit before reassuring him that the wand is never wrong. Also, he's eleven. Of course he's not an accomplished duelist . . . yet.
As Robin walked out of the store, he looked down at his wand, wrapped up in a neat little box. Maybe I should try out dueling? An unexpected sense of excitement grew in his ever-active mind. Now, he has one more thing to anticipate from his Hogwarts experience.
