She grew up knowing magic existed, but not caring much. She like studying, reading books, and making friends. Her parents liked to teach her a few spells every now and then so when she finally turned 11 she could try them. Every time she learned a new spell she really wanted to tell her friends but she lived in the muggle world so she couldn't. Because she couldn't tell anyone or even practice the spell, she lost interest in magic and just focused on making friends and being social while studying and working on grades.
