The big day for the children; start of the school year.

Inés came to platform 9 3/4 with everyone in her family. She was so excited that sh was jumping up and down, looking around with big opened eyes, observing everything and everyone she sees.

The platform was so crowded that it was possible to loose her parents if she have walked to much. Her mother and father hugged her, giving small kisses on the side of her cheek.

“Take good care o’ yourselves and look out for one another, aye?. Dinnae forget to write to us!”
Maria (Inés’s mom) spoke as she fixed Inés’s cloths one last time. “We love ye both so much.” She repeated multiple times while holding her and Alex’s hand (Inés’s brother).

The two children boarded the train and began to waving to their family through the windows. It was their only daughter’s first year at Hogwarts — oh, how exciting that is.

A year earlier, her older brother had started, and the whole family had come to see him get on the train. Now, there were two kids of theirs on the train, whilst the remaining three members of the family were waving to them from the station.

As the train began to move, her olde brother Alex stood up.
“I’m off to join my friends. If anythin’ happens, I’ll be in the carriage at the back. Dinnae get in any trouble.”

Inés rolled her eyes jokingly, but nodded afterwards. “See ye later!”

Of course he would leave his little sister all alone in a train where she has no idea about anyone else. Such a good brother.
Once Alex had closed the door, Inés was left alone in the compartment.

Should she go out and find herself a friend? What if Alex comes back but can’t find her? He would be worried, which Inés didn’t want him to feel worried at all. She could actually finish the book she was reading.

Nearly an hour past from the last time she saw her brother. Now her book was done, and there was nothing else to do. She dangled her feet from the sheet and swung them back and forth. Time seemed to stand still.

The window of the train was slowly vibrating as the train moved. The outside view was fascinating. The green of the forests, the blue of the sky were a different then normal, more better, more magical.

She reconsidered going out but her thoughts cut in half as she saw a few people passing from the door, looking inside to each compartment they pass.
Inés silently hoped they were looking an empty one, and come in to hers since she was the only one in the compartment.

When their eyes met, Inés smiled softly. Would her charming smile work, and bring the kids open the door…?

A New Home Open!
Nicole was excited for her trip on the train. She was looking forward to attending Hogwarts her entire life. She lugged her heavy trunk onto the rattling train. Her owl laid on top of the trolley and rattled like a ball and chain. She looked through the glass and saw a young girl sitting alone with a finished book. She wondered what book it was. If it was a historical fiction or puzzling mystery book, she was hoping to read it next. She was tired of walking and wanted to enjoy the ride. She opened the door slowly and entered her compartment. She asked the student, "Hello, sorry to bother you; everywhere else seems to be full. Mind if I sit here?" She gave a shy wave and tugged at the sleeve of her brand-new school robes.

Nicole was excited but also equally terrified for the start of her adventure at Hogwarts. She admired the scenery outside the train. This was her moment of silence, which created a sense of nostalgia. Nicole introduced herself to the student first. She also introduced her tawny owl, Gidget, who was hooting affectionately in her cage and trying to peck at her arm. She also had all her Hogwarts supplies with her and her favorite snack, licorice wands.
