It is the summer of 2025. Cassie has just arrived home with her parents from China. She will be attending Hogwarts again, in 2 months' time. She looks around at her family's mansion, feeling glad and excited to be home, sweet home. Meanwhile, she is a bit anxious of the upcoming schoolwork. In the past year, she has completely let go of her stress of school work. She hasn't opened her textbooks for much time, and magic seems a bit awkward to her now. But two years later, she'd be attending the OWL.s tests. More importantly, she would be facing her report card soon, and, she just can't allow any grades other than Outstandings. Her longings of a good grade hasn't changed much even after a one year break.

But right now, she wants desperately to forget her troubles and find a nice place to review her lessons. She takes some books to read and walks out onto the street, wandering around for a nice place. Her mansion is always big enough for her living and socializing, so, to be honest, she isn't as familiar as the neighbourhoods around as she ought to be. She walks down the pavement,watching muggles, and occasionally, wizard families walking by, chatting and laughing.

At one moment, she starts to miss her friends at Hogwarts. How is everything going on for them? In that year, she is so far away that she never receives any owls from her friends. They have probably gotten new friends already, or maybe even start to forget who Cassie is. Upon returning to Hogwarts, she would be a stranger to the new third years, a classmate they have never met before. Her anxiety grows a bit, thinking that what a shame it would be to perform worse in academics than students younger than her.

She walks faster, hoping to find an ideal place for studying. She knows she can return to her mansion's library at any time. But without knowing why, she just doesn't feel like reading there. That is when she sees a botanical garden, a few blocks away from her home. She walks inside. It is huge! Trees stand tall in her sight, flowers in white and light pink blooms everywhere. A few steps deeper into the garden, she sees cascades of Wisteria, appearing to create a purple dreamy mist around her. She stands silently, gazing at the sight in front of her in awe.

Moments later, she finds herself sitting on a white swing, with a History of Magic book on her laps. She is truly lost in pages.

First attempt of a RPG+ thread

How thrilled Mira is when she heard that her parents will take her and her brother to Britain for a summer trip! Her brother has been to Britain twice, and has been talking about what fun it was to go there ever since he returned last summer. The Hawkins have always been interested in muggle inventions, and her aunt, her father's brother's wife is a muggle, so she books four plane tickets for them and shows them the way at the airport. So, after being confused for a few times, Mira takes the plane for the first time ever in her life. What a trip! After several hours of flight and some more travelling, they settle down at a muggle hotel around 8 in the morning. It will be a long holiday, and they will be seeing many Muggle places such as their museums, their amusement parks and so on, all those places recommended by their aunt. In Mira's view, it is a great loss for those who never experiences Muggle lifestyles in their whole lives.

There are no schedules for the first day of their arrival, so Mira walks out of her hotel in West London and wanders around. As long as she returns to the hotel by sunset, she can go wherever she wants. Armed with a drawing board, brushes and a small box of paint, she hopes to find a beautiful place to draw.

Sometimes muggles are boring. She thinks as she passes similar houses and streets. 'Wow' she gasps as she suddenly looks up and finds herself in front of an arched iron gate entwined with vines. Through the open gate, she can see flowers of all colours blooming, and the air seems fresher than ever.

Hearing footsteps, she sees a muggle woman walking towards her. 'Good day.' 'Good day madam, do you know if I can enter this botanical garden?' Mira asks. But the woman seems confused, 'What are you talking about?' and she leaves, not looking at the gate once. Curious. Mira says to herself, and she walks inside, driven by curiosity.

The deeper she walks into the garden, the bigger it seems, and the sight is more beautiful. She cannot pick a place to paint-- the whole garden seems like a painting. All of a sudden, she feels as if she is covered by a purple mist. Right in front of her is a waterfall of wisteria, shining in the sun. She is setting her drawing boards and taking out her paint when she notices that she is not alone. A beautiful girl is sitting elegantly on a white swing, reading a book. Mira gets excited when she sees the title of the book-- History of Magic. That girl is a witch too! Seeing the girl is resting her book on her laps, Mira says excitedly, 'Hi! I am Mira Hawkins from Ilvermony. It's so beautiful here! Can I make a painting of you?'

After Cassie finishes another chapter of the Goblin's Rebellions,which quite confuses her. She hears footsteps coming towards her. She looks up and sees a girl with blonde hair, armed with some drawing tools, who seems the same age as her. Seeing Cassie has stopped reading, the girl excitedly introduces herself. How does she know that I am a witch? Cassie wonders. She quickly looks down at herself, no robes, no wand, oh, probably that girl saw my History of Magic Book.

'Hi Mira.' Cassie replies, she was looking for a quiet place to read in, but she won't mind having a companion. 'I am Cassie Jiang, from Hogwarts. I'm a third year by the way.' She smiles a bit, Mira Hawkins' smile seems to affect her moods, positively of course. 'Ilvermorny.' she repeated the girl with blonde hair's school name, 'that is in America. Why are you here?' Apart from academics books that are required, Cassie has also read a lot of books about the Magic world. She knows quite a lot about the other magic schools around the world, and Ilvermorny is the one that attracts her most. It is similar to Hogwarts in many ways, including the fact that they both have four houses. 'By the way,' Cassie adds thinking of houses, 'I am a Ravenclaw, which is similar to Horned-serpent in Ilvermorny. Which house are you in?'

Then she changes the topic to the beautiful scenery and Mira's drawing. 'Of course you can make a painting with me included. Thank you so much. This botanical garden is indeed marvelous. Have you ever been here before? I was so thrilled when I discovered this place earlier today.' Cassie sees that the girl is equipped with all kinds of drawing tools. 'You must be great at drawing!' she exclaims. 'I always want to learn drawing, but I am not talented at all in this skill. But I know how to dance.'

By then Cassie realizes she is a bit talkative today, though she doesn't really know why. Maybe it is because of the beautiful wisteria, maybe it is because of the gentle breeze and the lovely chirps of birds. or maybe it is because of the warm and sunny smile the girl in front of her has. The girl seems so naive and happy, as though she does not have troubles in studies and in her life. Cassie hopes, deep in her heart, that she will be like the girl one day.

Mira sets her painting board, takes out her paint and paint brushes, while listening to the girl in front of her talk. For the background, she applies purple paint of different shades, which are the colours of the wisteria and the purple mist surrounding. Hearing the girl, Cassie, mention Mira's own house, she feels even more excited. 'I am a third year too!' Mira exclaims, 'and guess what, I am in the Horned Serpent! And yes, I heard it is Ravenclaw in Ilvermorny.' Mira is glad that the girl is willing to talk to her. Mira is such an extrovert that sometimes she attempts to talk to someone who doesn't really want to talk. It will be super awkward then.

She can't wait to share her tour with someone else. 'I come here for a summer vacation and this is my first day here actually. I will be going to some Muggle scenic spots, but right now I have some free days to walk around. I took the Muggle plane here. What about you? Do you live nearby?' Mira gives a warmer grin.

'It can sometimes be tiring to be a painting model. I really don't want to miss this lovely purple mist surrounding us. I am so glad that I found this wonderful place the first day I am in Britain. Oh, are you previewing your lessons?' Mira suddenly thinks of her own studies. 'I need to work harder indeed.' Deep in her heart, Mira feels a bit proud. Up till now, she never struggles with her studies, though she can always get a high grade. Yet she is not sure if it'll be the same when she goes to higher grades.

'I haven't been here either, as you can see, I am on vacation here for the first time. Then how lucky we are,' she exclaims, 'we both came here for the first time yet we met each other!' She paints white strokes for the swing. 'By the way, you are so beautiful and elegant!' These are true words spoken as Mira pays a closer look to Cassie.

To make the Ravenclaw girl feel less bored, Mira talks some more, 'Have you got any plans for this summer? I suppose I do need to study some more since I have got a loose travel plan.' she adds some green in different shades for the grass and plants.

'Nah, I'm not that of a great painter. But you know how to dance? That is cool! No wonder you are so elegant. Can you teach me how to dance some day?'
