I just found a thread called Sock Shop, saying it is the Golden Sock Exchange.

What are 'socks' exactly? How do you get them?

The golden sock and sock shop were for an event that is no longer ongoing, unfortunately. Players could participate in scavenger hunt threads spread throughout homemade and collect socks to trade in for other rewards. There may be similar events that happen in the future, so keep an eye out for them!
