The shadow of the Day  pv
~~Funeral Decription~~
]Image
When you walk in the first thing you'll notice is how beautiful everything looks. If it weren't for everything dressed in black, you may have mistaken it for a wedding or someone's special day. The next thing you'll notice is a banner hanging from the door, decorated with roses, doves, and pictures of an older lady. The words written across will strike everyone in a different form of sadness. To our Beloved Persephone Smith, you will be missed dearly by everyone. You were taken too soon. Looking around, you will notice a familiar face dancing around the room. Her smiling face strikes against the dark mood of the room. Advancing further into the room, flowers that symbolize death lead you to a coffin. The coffin is decorated and covered in the same flowers as before, chrysanthemums, lilies, black roses, and marigolds.

People inside dress alike. The tall, short small, old and young all dress in black. You will pass a few people sobbing into their handkerchiefs. The somber and mournful mood will take its effect on you, even if you don't know the person. Looking around you'll spot the family of the late Persephone scattered around. An angered looking young lady leaning against the wall, an extremely flustered and worry looking father and a grief stricken mother

Olivia was in a very bad mood. Her father was going to a colleague's relative's funeral and decided that Olivia should promptly go along to 'spend time together'. Olivia tried to argue against it but her father had already made up his mind.

So when the day finally came, Olivia had put on a pair of black suit pants, a black shirt and a black vest. She had also styled her hair for once, or rather made it look reasonably tidy. Even though she didn't have the faintest idea who had died, Olivia had to show respect, it was the only right thing to do.

Olivia and Marc made their way to the funeral and were let in. Olivia took notice of the large banner hanging over the door with flowers, doves and sad words. The older woman in the picture was not familiar to Olivia and neither was her name.

Suddenly, Marc started to guide the steps towards three people who Olivia guessed were the deceased woman's family. A man, a woman and a daughter. "Hello Matthew," Marc said to the man and nodded. "This is my daughter Olivia," Marc then introduced Olivia. Olivia just nodded and then looked at the daughter and forgot for a second how to breathe. It was Bree.

"Bree?" Olivia finally managed to say and took a step towards her. "I didn't know you were going to be here."

Ooc Notes: Sorry this is late!
Rolling her eyes, she stares out the window as her parents yell for her downstairs. She doesn't want to go at all. Especially on how her parents set up this stupid funeral. She could practically picture her grandmother in heaven or whether she is going tsk tsk tsk to the horribly planned funeral. Its not that everything's ugly and not fitting for a funeral. It doesn't look like a wedding happening (Athough some of the decorations do) its that she knows her grandmother, she knows what her grandmother would like. And her grandmother would love it if it wasn't so depressing looking. She wouldn't have wanted everyone miserable over her. And it is so stupid that when she argued with her parents about it their response was, "Well it's what your grandmother would've wanted." And how dare they us-

"BREE PERSEPHONE GREY! GET DOWN HERE NOW!!!!"

Rolling her eyes once more, she continues to stare at the window and ignores her mother. She could be stubborn and this was one of the times. Wincing as she hears her mother scream for her once more, she only heads down when she threatens to send Hazel up there. Sighing, she walks down the stairs. Honestly she forgot Hazie was here. Her and her father arrived last week and Bree could only recall interacting with her twice. It's not that Bree dislikes Hazel, just that her sympathy and pity looks is not what she needs right now. Sighing loudly, once she gets downstairs, she sits down with everyone else.

Her mother passed her a plate of food and then sits down herself. Beginning to eat, she couldn't help but notice the silence and everyone staring at her. "What?" She says looking up from her plate. Her mother clears her throat slightly before answering, "Bree the way you acted upstairs you cannot do at the funeral! Not only will you embarrass yourself, you'll embarrass your father, especially when his co-workers are there."

Rolling her eyes heavily, Bree raises an eyebrow, "Do you not know me? I would never do that." The tension between her and her mother becomes thick as silence takes over. Everyone else clears their plates. Nothing this, Bree stands up, "Im done and ready to go. Unless there is anything else you need to say we could go."

A hour later shes leaning against the wall despising every single moment of this. Most of the people here are her father's colleagues. The rest are a bunch of fakes pretending to be deviated over someone they don't know at all. Her mother and father walks up to her. They both start talking together, babbling about some nonsense of needing to eat and being more friendly. Suddenly her father exclaims, "Look one of my closet partners!" Looking over rher fathers shoulder, she spots a man. Introducing his daughter, the name sounds familiar. Olivia. Moving around her father she freezes in shock. This can't be happening. Olivia mirrors her shock and says she didn't expect her to be here.

Letting out a sarcastic laugh she tilts her head, "Didn't expect me? Its my grandmother that died and has this bullshit excuse of a funeral thrown for her. I didn't expect you to be here though."

Allowing the silence to blanket them, she watches her father talk with his coworker. Her mother disappeared to who knows where. Sighing, she leans back against the wall.

“I’m sorry,” Olivia said, giving Bree a cautious smile. Then Bree said that she didn’t expect Olivia to be there. “Apparently my dad knows your dad and he promptly wanted me to come along to ‘spend time together,’” Olivia explained, leaning against the wall next to Bree.

“We haven’t seen each other in a while. How are you? Besides it being your grandmother’s funeral.” Olivia asked, looking at Bree. She remembered their first meeting on the Hogwarts Express, but that was a long time ago.

Meanwhile, Marc continued talking to Matthew. “How are you doing these days, Matthew?” Marc asked, putting his hands in his pockets. “I haven’t seen you in the office in a while, lots to do?”

Olivia sighed, her stomach growling loudly. “Is there anything to eat?” she asked Bree with an apologetic expression. “I didn’t have time to eat before I came here.” She looked at her and Bree’s dads. “I can’t stand listening to their chatter.”

She looked around the church. “Is anyone else coming that we know?” she asked Bree, straightening up. “Anyone from Hogwarts?” Olivia fervently hoped that no more people she knew would be coming. She couldn’t bear to be social with more than one or two people at most.
