Take From the Top

Kennedy was at the library, again. Every day like clockwork Kennedy arrived at the Library, and by now there were many faces she had memorized. A friendly Ravenclaw girl in her 4th year always waved hello when Kennedy sat down at the table next to her. A tall 6th year boy in Gryffindor always helped Kennedy reach some of the books on the taller shelf. Just kind people she felt connected to. She sat down in her normal spot, and settled in for some reading. Today however, she wasn't studying, she was reading a fictional book. Her father had sent a care package, and in it was a copy of "Anne of Green Gables." She had started the book last night, and had to force herself to put it down so that she didn't stay up all night long. Kennedy had only one bad habit when reading, and that was dog earring the pages. She never did so to library books of course, but if you looked through her shelf of personal books you would find that pages had been creased with love. She slipped into her book and became Anne, a fearless girl with a bold heart. She was so entranced in her book that she didn't notice someone had come up next to her until they tapped her on the shoulder.
