Mama, do you miss me? PV

Dear Mama,

I know how worried you were when I left for school, but I can promise you that I am fine, in fact, I'm doing great! They have so much food here, I have decided that I must indulge myself because of how great all of it tastes! You would think that they spelled the stuff, which, now that I'm thinking about it, maybe they did!

I have so many strange classes, most of which I didn't even know existed. I learned of this spell in my astronomy class that allows you to turn whoever you cast it upon into a rooted plant from the legs up! I mean, who knew a person could become a plant? I don't want to be a plant. I don't think I'll be using that spell very often.

I met this boy. You would like him. I think he cares about me, but I've never been very good at relationships. His name is Roland. He's super smart, and his family is full of actors! Sometimes I wish our family were as cool as his. I met him on the train, and we bonded over fig bars and our shared excitement for school. He called me cute. It was weird.

Speaking of fig bars, can you store some in the pantry for when I come home? They are so delicious!

Speaking of things that are delicious, I finished War and Peace again! The ending gets me every time; however, I don't ever read the epilogue, and I don't see a point. This girl came up to me in the library while I was reading. She said it was a bad book. Can you believe that? A bad book.

Her name was Rowan something. I didn't like her very much at first, I mean, who insults the book someone's reading when they don't even know you? Now I can understand insulting someone's choice in literature if they were reading The Hunger, but come on now, War and Peace is one of the best books ever. Although I like that she even knew what it was, maybe I could come around to her eventually. Maybe.

I miss you a lot, Mama. Do you miss me? I hope you miss me. It feels weird, not seeing you, or father, or Imogen on a regular basis. Like a part of me is missing. I hope you guys write to me more, even with my new friends, I feel lonely a lot.

I love you, mama, talk soon,

Artie-bo-bartie
