Sunrise boats.

Carina Rosse swore herself to have a stable sleep in schedule. She really did. Until she started her first year at Hogwarts, somehow constantly slacking on her sleep, even without a heavy academic load.

Even though she had fixed it during winter break back with her parents, it did not mean it stayed like that when she returned. And somehow the start of spring did not help at all.

That’s why it surprised her to wake up two hours earlier than her roommate does —when she usually wakes up half an hour later than— and unsuccessfully tried to go back to sleep.

And that meant for Carina to unwillingly get ready, pace around the common room for a while, and then go out.

But it also meant that, for the first time in a long time, the overthinker and overachiever Carina Rosse did not have anything to think about. She simply admired every scenery, even when still dark, and wandered about, having no planned route to follow.

And that ended up with her arriving to the boathouse. She entered before thinking, and suddenly she questioned where-, no, why she was there.

Carina had not visited the boathouse ever since her arrival through the same place. In fact, hadn’t even thought about it. She smiled at the thought, walking to sit just by the edge, just facing where the boats where and where it opened to the Great Lake.

And to think the last time she was here she was sure she was going to be in Ravenclaw.

Now, she does not resent the decision of being in Slytherin. But is still trying to understand why the House of the snake.

While Carina continued to wonder, looking at the starting sunrise, she did not hear the boathouse visitor that had just entered, student that was used to have the boathouse to themselves always.

But not anymore.
