Harper Song • First Year • Ravenclaw

Backstory:

Harper lives with her mom, dad, and two younger brothers Carl who is nine, and Ben who is six. They live in a small one story house out in the country. Harper's family has a golden retriever named Trey who is a bundle of joy who adores physical touch and is terrible at playing fetch. Harper also has a bay mustang mare named Whistle that she rides around the countryside. Whistle lives at a nearby farm and was given to Harper as a ninth birthday present after she begged for one for years. When she isn't reading or writing, Harper is playing around in the woods with Carl. Her favorite books are fantasy or adventure books, but she doesn’t mind a little bit of romance. Harper and her brothers have been homeschooled their entire lives. Due to this and the fact that they don't have any neighbors that live within reasonable walking distance, Harper's best friend is her brother Carl. They make forts in the woods, play pranks on Ben, and talk about their favorite books together. Harper doesn't have a phone or any tech due to strict parents, along with very limited TV. Although she does enjoy listening to music when she has the opportunity to. Harper plays the violin, but she doesn’t play in an orchestra or perform anywhere.

Due to her shy, quiet demeanor Harper doesn't have any friends right now, but she is very open to making some! She really likes to read, and writes fictional stories in her spare time. If you don't know her, Harper is pretty quiet, but once you get to know her, Harper talks a lot more and is very sarcastic. Harper sees nothing wrong with breaking the rules, but she is terrified of getting caught or scolded.

Harper is a little short for her age, but not enough to be teased about it. She has naturally straight blonde hair that goes about an inch past her shoulders. Although Harper rarely decides to do anything with her hair, (usually opting to just brush it and go) but the front pieces generally have a curve to them due to Harper’s habit of tucking those strands behind her ears. Harper’s blue-gray eyes aren’t anything special, but on the rare occasions that she wears mascara, they stand out remarkably.

Her first act of wandless magic was when she was nine. Harper didn’t want to leave for a concert she was supposed to attend with the rest of her family. Harper somehow managed to lock her bedroom door (which didn’t have a lock) for forty-eight hours before she calmed down enough for the door to unlock.
