It was a bright morning outside Hammersmith Chess Club in London. Inside, Dorian Vexley checked his watch impatiently. They should be here by 10:30 A.M..

As he was contemplating the decoration, a knock came outside the door. A tall, blonde boy with a smart look about him walked in. He was wearing Hogwarts robes, the tags on which read 'George Calder'.

"Welcome to Hammersmith Chess Club, George!", Dorian said. George seemed rather surprised at first, and then said softly, "Ah, Dorian! I didn't know you were organising this tournament!". Dorian smiled and replied, "Well, the club owner thought I was the best man for the job after all.".

George didn't want to stop the conversation. "The banner looks great! Natasha, Nick, and Denise should be here any second now…". Dorian pursed his lips and nodded. Even though no Slytherins were taking part, at least the organiser was one!

I walked into the chess club's room. I was participating in the Alpha Robin tournament today. I loved chess and I was so happy to be competing. I was so nervous to be competing. Even though I was okay at chess I wasn't sure how good the others would be.

I hadn't played since my friend Flame and I played together. I have played chess with my father many times. He introduced me to chess. I was more accustomed to muggle chess than wizard chess. But I supposed it was quite the same.

The only real difference is that the pieces could move by themselves. I remembered being jump scared by a piece killing another piece when my mum introduced me to wizard chess.

I enetered the room and immediatly saw George Calder. Besides him, nobody else had come yet.

By the time he has entered the room he was 1 minute late he cursed under his breath as one of the assistant leader of this chess club he really should be early but the train he was on had been running late and it was the only fast one that day to London from Cambridge he had then missed the first tube to Hammersmith by the time he arrived Demise and George were already there he walked in
“Sorry I’m late”
He went and took out a notebook that he liked to write down moves Im he when to a freee blank page and wrote ‘Alpha Robin Tournament’ on the top then below ‘Match 1’

Denise wasn't exactly known to be a genius by any means. Well, she was dedicated to schoolwork, but clearly, she wasn't sorted into Ravenclaw for a reason.

And interestingly, to her own surprise, Denise chooses to join the Hogwarts Chess Club. She knew how to play chess; she played it with her grandmother at times, but wasn't exactly an expert. Technically, it was more like her grandmother didn’t put in much effort and would always let Denise win.

Well, better to learn than not join, and George Calder, Natasha Blackwood, and Nick Jameson seemed nice enough, even though she had never interacted with them previously, since they were in Ravenclaw and Gryffindor.

And apparently, there is "Muggle" and "Wizard" chess, so Denise had much to learn, even if she knew how to play Muggle Chess. Denise nervously opened the doors of the Hammersmith Chess Club in London, feeling the warmth after she entered. Denise has only explored London when hopping off to Hogwarts Express, but hasn't explored it much in general, except for purchasing school supplies.

She saw George, Natasha, and James already there, smiling and waving at them. She also noticed another boy or man, someone she didn’t exactly know, who was, well, likely the chess tournament organizer. She looked up at the decorated place with banners hung carefully and delicately. The Alpha Robin Tournament has begun, and Denise was excited to see what she would learn and where this opportunity would take her. She walked forward, nervously, and was excited to see what was to come.
