Marriage
There is no marriage system as far as I know, but if you wish, since it would be a big part of your character's life, you would need to take an actual playerGeorge Calder wrote: 3 Mar 2026, 07:10 How does my character get married? Does she have to be a hogwarts.io existing character?
Staff, correct me if I'm wrong
Marriage
Julia is correct in regards to us not having an "official" marriage system. If it happens in roleplay, then it happens. There are a couple rules though! Characters must be over the age of 16 in order to be married, and 14 or older to be engaged. Having your character marry another player-owned character is not mandatory. Players are allowed to create their own spouses not attached to other players, they would just be an NPC.
Before me, you rightly tremble. But, fear is not what you owe me. You owe me awe....

they do have to exist but you must be 14 or over to be engaged and 16 or over to get marriedGeorge Calder wrote: 3 Mar 2026, 07:10 How does my character get married? Does she have to be a hogwarts.io existing character?
Marriage
It is probably wise to RP it, since this is a MAJOR part of your life, but no, it is not mandatory. As for the second part, if it is a character that exists on site (Somebody played by a person), you either need permission to godmod, or you can RP with them. You can also use a dnpc for your marriage (A character who exists but not as a player, example your mom or dad).George Calder wrote: 7 Mar 2026, 08:02 Do I need to RP my marriage? It counts as godmodding if I use the character in the RP
