Japan v. Ireland Stands
Sorrel Wright led her students to the stands to watch the game of Japan vs. Ireland, unable to stop from grinning at the flash of colors and the wind flying up from the broomsticks, blowing her hair in strange formations. Resisting the childlike urge to lean her head over the edge of the rail to be even closer to the game, Sorrel led the Gryffindor students up to the highest part of the stands, where their seats awaited and grinned.
Clearly, she was a fan of quidditch, if that much wasn't obvious from the childlike wonder that was all over her face and the little dance that Sorrel kept doing. She kept hopping up and down from foot to foot, then remembering that she was a head of house and a professor at Hogwarts, and refraining. Of course, the cycle kept repeating itself and Sorrel couldn't help but chatter animatedly to the students near her, and to the random people. Whether they were Irish or Japanese or neither, Sorrel cared little.
A woman normally afraid of others, there was something about the huss and fuss of so many people that made Sorrel feel calm and bubbly. Most of the time she found herself hiding from people, but being just another face in a crowd, united under a common cause made her smile widely and broadly for the first time in years. Everyone seemed so happy, and Sorrel was loathe to ruin the mood.
Making sure her students were safely situated, the woman handed each student two galleons. Hogwarts salaries were really nice, and it wasn't like she had any need for the money. What was she going to buy? More plants and broomsticks? Pfft. Not when today was a day to celebrate the vast wizarding world and the people that lived in it, different and special all the same.
The game started with the players rushing out to the skies, and Sorrel took her own seat with a smile. Her bets were on Japan winning, to tell the truth.
