Tent DescriptionIn order to be a truly great athlete, you must respect your competitors, and this is the central idea behind the Respect yurt. Each Respect yurt is actually themed after a different one of the nine competing schools, and in signing up for a Respect yurt, you don't know which one you'll get as they are randomly assigned! Durmstrang-themed yurts are brilliant scarlet, and if you're lucky, you'll catch the Bulgarian national team playing just outside the window.

Date : February 15th, 2026 Color code : Written | Thought | Said After taking a short rest post the tense duel, Sere got herself ready. She cleaned herself up and grabbed her enchanted backpack. She made sure Buddy had enough treats and water for the whole week, as the girl would be leaving the grey bunny with her roommate for the next week instead of bringing it with her to the event. Buddy might get some stress having to adapt to such a different place so quickly.
Crawling from behind the Fat Lady, the Gryffindor made her way to the gathering point where the Portkey would take the International Magical Olympic Games attendees to Koldovstoretz.
She pulled her winter cloak tighter. The temperature in Russia felt colder than in Scotland. Sere took a deep breath, noticing the distinct scent of snow mixed with a hint of metal.
"Now, where's my yurt?"
Sere had registered herself for a yurt, and from a distance she could see the round, temporary structures that matched the ambience of the snowy Russian mountains. She entered one of the yurts with her name on the entrance.
"Whoa," the gasp was followed by a giggle, slipped out from the lips of the usually super-serious girl, "Feels very much like home."
Right, everything in this tent was scarlet red. Sere could barely spot any other colors. If she weren't a Gryffindor who was used to living along with red decorations throughout her dorm life, she might have gotten dizzy from seeing too much red.
Sere placed her backpack on one of the beds, on the right side of the window. While waiting for the other yurt member to arrive, to possibly exchange greetings before the opening ceremony began, she observed the scene outside the window.Mentioning : @Anna Wang, @Tatiana Contraire & @Denise Yarbrough

Denise has never been in a foreign country, ever, except the British Isles, and even then, never ventured outside of Comrie, Scotland, in the southern Highlands, London, and of course Hogwarts, her new home.
It was cold and icy, and Denise was used to the slightly warmer weather back in Scotland. Technically speaking, Koldovstoretz was in the Ural Mountains, a beautiful mountain range, and she had to admire the big and beautiful donut-shaped lake, where she would be participating in wizard ice hockey soon. Hopefully, she would perform well, but that was an unlikely wish for she lacked sports experience except for lacrosse during the summers back in Comrie.
Denise looked at the beautiful temporary yurts. Everything seems so elegant and beautiful, Denise thought. She walked in and looked around the yurts until she found one with her name in the entrance with three other names that she did not recognize at all: Anna Wang, Tatiana Contraire, and Sere Nade. She walked in, feeling nervous and anxious.
Due to isolation from her hometown, Denise still struggled to make friends, except for a few that she warmed up to. She walked in, feeling the warmth of the yurt contrasting with the cold air outside. She saw a girl observing the window.
It would be rude to just walk in and ignore her. "Hello..." Denise managed, "I'm Denise Yarbrough, a first-year Hufflepuff. It's nice to meet you."
Denise saw that the girl had already claimed one of the beds, so Denise moved to a bed across from her and placed her small backpack there. She was tired but still excited about the opening ceremony.
