The weekend had finally arrived, the week seemed to drag and nothing seemed to be going Olivia's way, lessons were boring apart from a couple of the defense against the dark arts and care of magical creatures lessons, her pranks were either failing or she kept getting caught and her brother, Atlas couldn't even spare five minutes for her, he was too loved up with his girlfriend, Harlow, to even care. Olivia wasn't jelous of Harlow she just wished her brother would be there every now and again especially on days she felt a bit home sick.

Olivia made her way to the lake hoping to get some time to herself and try and get herself composed as to not ruin her image, in the warmth of the sun during the early afternoon. Her friends had asked many times if she wanted to do things with them but she politely declined, making them become a bit skeptical of her motives. That however didn’t bug her in the slightest, she had made herself comfortable as she leaned against a willow tree close to the lake. The sound of the water, the birds chirping and the slight breeze took her back to her back garden, all that was missing was her dog, Marshall. As she closed her eyes she heard a familar voice situated not too far from her. She could just ignore it, but that was just not in her nature, curiosity always got the better of her. She opened her eyes scanning her surroundings as her eyes landed on Harlan, Harlow's younger brother. They had met a couple of times over the past year, her mother thought it would be good for Olivia to meet her brother's girlfriend's sibling, but Atlas and Olivia both knew she wanted to ensure Olivia stayed out of trouble before she began Hogwarts. Harlan was calculative, courageous and some people may call him charming but Olivia didn't agree. But what she did like was that he somewhat understood the world that she was from, only the rich can understand the rich, and the importance of upholding a certain image.

Olivia decided to make her way over, it was a little intimidating as he was with some of his friends and they were older than her but she decided to approach regardless, "Hello Harlan, remember me?" she asked with an innconet smile, "You haven't said hello to me once since I have began Hogwarts," she added, pouting slightly.

𝄃𝄃𝄂𝄂𝄀𝄁𝄃𝄂𝄂 i heard  you're looking for a way to fight the corpus bride,
━━ summary, this thread is happening on FEBUARY 23RD, 2026, in the AFTERNOON with @OLIVIA CUTHBURT. / wc: 437.

In the grand scheme of his fourth year at Hogwarts, Harlan felt like had finally began to really feel the momentum ramping up after the hellish Summer he had dealing with Weddings and the like. Now, properly a part of their questionable Quidditch Team, his goal had been to scour all of Gryffindor to find the best of the best players who could bring glory to the lion's den instead of lackluster results on the pitch.

Other then that, he kept with his constant badgering of certain Ravenclaws, the annoying second year prefect girl, and focused just enough on school to skate by without much complaints. He wasn't sure how much he even cared about some of the subjects, except for Defense against the Dark Arts. There were moments of deep uncertainty still about what he was dealing with but it hadn't reared its ugly head since the initial incident and for that, Harlan was thankful.

With a group of other fourth year Gryffindor students, Harlan had scoped out the perfect spot near the Great Lake for them to simply hang out and chat while it was nice out. Some talked about their crushes or how Koldov's sports went and Harlan was engulfed in the conversation until a strange girl began her descent directly to the group of teenage boys and all of them looked at her in confusion.

The directive came straight to Harlan as he cocked his head curiously, was he supposed to know this girl? " Oh, you're Atlas' little sister. " The connection came to him, Harlow's boyfriend's sibling, but Harlan wasn't sure what that had to do with him. He'd talked to his sister about Atlas and how he kind of was a loser, but he was rich so it made sense especially with all their Dad pushed on them — but still.

" Well hello, then. " He couldn't help but tease her a little bit as she clearly had to have barely been at Hogwarts longer than a year, if that. " Oh, I didn't realize I was supposed to tell you hello. " For being barely out of a training wand, she sure had some audacity. " Guys, this is Olivia. Harlow's boyfriend's little sis. " With enough time, all of it came flooding back into Harlan's memory. " What year were you again? " At the very least, the Hufflepuff was easy enough to recognize within her outfit. " And why are you out here just wandering by yourself, that's kinda dangerous. " On one hand, life her live, but if Harlow found out that Harlan let the girl just wander into the Great Lake, she'd probably have his head. Yikes.

Olivia was quite surprised that Harlan had just introduced her to his friends, she really didn’t think he would want to be associated with a 1st year, let alone a Hufflepuff. She folded her arms at the stupid question, "A 4th year like yourself," she sassed sarcastically, "Seriously Harlan?" she questioned unimpressed. He was proving her assumptions about himself to be correct.

"There's nothing wrong with spending time with yourself every now and again," she answered a little confused with his question, she knew he didn't care, why would he? And she was definitely not going to tell him she was feeling homesick and that his sister had practically stolen her brother. To Harlan she was probably Atlas's annoying little sister, that just needed to leave him alone.

Also what danger could he even be on about, "How is it dangerous?" she asked a little curious. It wasn't like she was going to jump into the lake or head into the forbidden forest. Although the lake would add to her feeling more at home, she could just imagine that it was their outdoor swimming pool, but then again she didn’t really feel like taking a plunge, or have her swimming suit on her in this weather. As for the forbidden forest she was dying to go explore it, the thought of discovering something she had never seen before and the added danger was intriguing to her but she knew it was dangerous to go alone, and she wasn't dumb enough to do that. Atlas had warned her many times of the danger and she really wasn't about to get killed she still had a lot to live for and experience.

She looked between Harlan and his friends a small sigh escaping her, for some reason Harlan felt a little like home, maybe because she had met him with Atlas before Hogwarts was even a thing, or maybe because he reminded her a little of her brother, regardless she couldn't quite figure out what to do. Tease and annoy him or just ask to sit silently and be in his company while he did his own thing.
