Zain Hawthorne has messy dirty blonde hair inherited from his father, trimmed neatly but his bangs fall over his almond ocean-blue eyes and eyebags that show his exhaustion, his face is shaped like a diamond, the skintone is a warm ivory tone with his lean frame. His outfits may consist of plain tees and baggy jeans, or a shirt over a sweater in cold weathers. He wears a silver necklace around his neck with his initial 'Z'. He's described as 'cute' and 'absolutely charming' with his smile that popped his dimples.

Zain can be described as 'a social kid', with his wits and sarcasm, he has a humour that can make people chuckle. Although his specialty of easily adapting to crowds portray his insecurity and desire to fit in, he's also a quick-thinker, but it's flawed slightly when in stressful situations that may cause Zain to make impulsive decisions. He's an academic achiever with an ambitious, but imaginative mind, often staying late at night to read poetry or romantic books. He can be prideful aswell, often showing his smug grin whenever he's right about something, or he wins something like a debate. Whenever you've upset him, he has a tendency to hold grudges in the way of silent treatment, which is why many say he's "too petty for a kid".

His family was a middle-class, while he studied at a Muggle primary school, suggested by his mother who was a full muggle, his father was a half-blood who studied at Hogwarts before but never told his family because he wanted to live a peaceful life. Zain's life was peaceful for him, good friends, decent life, and amazing grades. January 2nd of 2020, his mother passed away from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, which led Zain into a phase of mourning for 5 months.

From when he was a 1 year old, he always wore a delicate, maroon sweater that he cherished deeply, then suddenly when he was 5 years old, he realized his sweater was too small for him to wear, in frustration, he stayed grumpy and pouty the whole day, the next day he realized the sweater grew significantly larger overnight. His child mind didn't really care about it, he just wanted his sweater.
