On that sunny Saturday afternoon Rose had decided to have a walk outside as it would be a shame to stay indoors when the weather was that welcoming. Plus she was done with her homework and whatever she had to do for her classes so nothing was better than getting some fresh air. Usually she would go near the Great Lake which had become her favourite place outside of the castle that she was starting to know almost every nook and cranny.
However today Rose was feeling for something different somewhere she had not been yet. She liked exploring and discovering new places and with such a pretty weather it was the perfect day for some new things. Her brother who was a Quidditch player had told her a lot about the Quidditch Stadium and the Quidditch Training Pitch she had never visited before.
How shameful of her. Hopefully she was lucky enough for her brother not to have mentioned anything about it.
She sighed a smile on her face as she was making her way out of the castle. At first Rose was not sure where exactly to go so she just decided to follow the top of the towering spires of the Quidditch Stadium that could be slightly seen from afar. The training field shouldn't be far from it and she would eventually ended up finding it by walking around.
The way to her final destination was not so much different from the one to get to the Great Lake surrounded by huge trees and the sound of the birds chirping. It was rather enjoyable.
Thankfully the weather was neither not to cold or perhaps because she was wearing warm clothes? Anyhow Rose couldn't feel any happier about her small expedition to an unknown yet close place. However to her surprise not many students seemed to be around which was quite weird as students may go training there. Therefore there was certainly no upcoming match or any training sessions. She shrugged and decided on walking. Not soon after she started to finally see the Quidditch Stadium. Strangely enough she caught herself to sigh out of relief.
Did she feel scared to lose her way? Probably but she were not going to admit it.
Promptly she looked around but no training grounding like was on sight. She slightly frowned when she noticed a rather dirty and weathered footpath leading further than the Quidditch Stadium. At the view her light green eyes sparkled. It was probably the way to the Quidditch Training Pitch. And even if it were not she would have still explored other places.
Walking down a gentle slop and around the trees Rose was careful with her step before finally reaching her awaited final spot. Huge stone walls were now facing her as she could perceive some wooden goalposts on either side. She proudly smiled as she decided to take a walk around moving further away.
After having wandering for some time Rose found herself on a small hill from which she could better see the Quidditch Training field when she decided to check the time on her watch. Her eyes widened a bit when she realised how long she had been walking around without even paying attention to the time nor the way.
It was now time to go back to the castle.
She started to walk down the small hill before stopping a frown on her face. Was she even going into the right direction?
She couldn't recall having walked passed there when she came. Rose didn't really mind as many roads could lead to one. So she just kept on going. After some time not seeing the end of the way and the Quidditch Stadium she started to worry. Two light green eyes were looking around panic slightly taking over the young raven.
Had she really lost her way?

𝓦ith the weather being nice outside for once after having so much snow lately, Leo decided to take the opportunity to get some fresh air. He had shut himself in a lot in the library or study rooms to get work done lately so a nice walk would do him some good. It was cold but pleasant. The snow on the ground had all but melted away now in the sun. He had fun playing in the snow at first but now he was happy to see the familiar greenery of the Hogwarts grounds.
Since it was still colder out not many people were outside, only having passed a handful of students as he walked around. He got lost in his thoughts and ended up wandering closer to the Quidditch Training Pitch. He smiled as he thought back to the fun, and pain, he experienced there in the recent unofficial games he was in and when he had trained with Avery back in September.
As he walked by the pitch, he noticed a girl in the distance also walking by coming his way. Leo didn’t think much of it at first since he figured she must’ve been taking a walk like him. But something brought his eyes back to the girl. As he got a little closer she seemed to be looking around a lot. Leo continued walking that direction and came close enough to see her face a little more clearer. She looked, almost, worried? Had she lost something? Was she looking for someone?
Leo glanced back the way he came, then around them. There was no one else around. He walked towards the girl, picking up his pace a little more as he followed the path. Clearing his throat, he spoke up loud enough so she would hear as he closed the gap between them. “Excuse me, are you okay?” He asked and stopped in front of her. His eyes scanned around before landing back on the girl. She seemed to be around his age and he was almost certain she seemed familiar. Maybe he saw her in the common room or Great Hall? “Do you need help?”

Still looking around her like the lost kid she was Rose tried the best she could to remain calm and not let the panic taking over her. After all she was not that far from the castle and even less from the Quidditch Stadium so any other ways she would eventually find her way back. She wished. Actually Rose was more than worried she was only trying to reassure herself and be able to get back before night as that would get harder if she were to find her way back.
The more she was looking around the more she got annoyed. How could she have such a bad sense of direction? And no one was in sight.
Why would people stay indoors on such a nice weather? she thought almost reproaching others' absence to have lost her way.
However she was the only one to blame. She sighed. It was not like this she were going to find her way back although some help would be appreciated. Probably she would feel embarrassed but glad enough not to be alone anymore.
Rose was so lost in her thoughts she didn't hear steps getting closer to her as when she heard someone else's voice she got startled before turning around to face a black haired boy taller than her. At the view of someone else she felt relieved but at the same time worried. Indeed if someone were to come here that probably meant she was not that far from where she wanted to go. Thus probably no reason for someone to lose its way. Rose embarrassingly smiled at the boy.
"Ah I was just hoping someone would show up." she awkwardly said on a teasing tone to ease her embarrassment. Nevertheless it got worse. What could she be possibly thinking to say things like that to a stranger. She let out a nervous laugh avoiding the boy's gaze not to add up to her unease. He was probably thinking she was some weirdos. However he came to her so it was surely obvious from afar she appeared lost and he seemed to be offering his help which she couldn't refuse according to her situation. She sighed before chuckling of disbelief from her worries.
"I actually got lost while taking a walk near the Training Pitch. I went over there" she pointed towards a direction not sure it was from where she was coming "And while coming back I couldn't recall the way back." she said on a calmer voice than before while taking time to take a look of this new person. He appeared to be same age as her and Rose was half sure to have seen him before. She then smiled again.
"But since you're here that means I'm not really lost am I?" she smiled before reflecting on her thoughts "Unless you got lost yourself as well?" she teasingly said raising an eyebrow looking at the boy yet who didn't seem to be lost at all.
She slightly laughed.
"I'm Rose Pearce by the way." she gently smiled at the young boy again handing her hand out for a hand shake.
