Laasya entered the yurt. The colours were so pretty with various shades of blue, purple and a hint of pink. The bouncy floor was patterned with the night sky and there were so many pillows; on the bunks, on the sleeping bags and a whole pile filled with them. Black light came from candles overhead. It looked just like a childhood sleepover. Laasya was awestruck at the site. Not having many friends, Laasya had not been to many sleepovers and her only friend's parents did not allow them. She would listen curiously to other girls discussing about birthday slumber parties and getogethers, and Laasya would wish to also be included, which of course never happened. Now Laasya's excitement only increased.

𝕵ulia was nervous. But excited. But anxious. But happy. And everything else at once. It was finally the start of the International Magical Olympic Games (IMOG)! She was going to go to her Yurt right now, and meet her room-mates (Or Yurt-mates as Julia liked to call them). She was sharing her Yurt with @Lily Clarke, a Hufflepuff, and @Laasya Manjunath, a Gryffindor. Julia had met Laasya and Lily before, but by herself. Both the times the encounters were short, so she didn't know them as much as she would've like. Julia couldn't wait to become proper friends with them! Upon arriving at Koldovstoretz, she was blown away by her magnificent surroundings. Snow blanketed the magnificent village. In the middle was a frozen Lake Bear, and all around were various yurts. She'd been told Koldovstoretz had its classes underground, she didn't know where exactly, but that didn't stop her from appreciating it. It was a magnificent sight. Julia smiled at herself and thought, "This is going to be fun." Then started making her way towards the yurt, feeling excited and happy.
● ● ● ● ● Julia looked at the yurt. From the outside it looked plain, and boring, but from the inside, Julia had no doubt it would be amazing. They had chosen a friendship yurt, which kinda suited. She walked to the door, hesitating to move the handle. She wasn't sure how she would get on with them, Laasya and Lily. They had been friendly before, but what if they thought Julia was boring, or bad or whatnot? She tried to push the thoughts back down, but they stayed, stuck in her brain like glue. Still, she tried not to let that bother her, and pushed the door open, not sure if she wanted someone to be there or not. When Julia first stepped in her first thought was, "Its beautiful". And it was. The room was decorated in different shades of blues, and purples giving a comfortable and cozy feeling.As she looked around, Julia saw more pillows than she'd ever before, all in the same blue and purple shades. They were on the floor, on the 2 bunk beds, on the sleeping bags, literally everywhere. At the top, there was a big candle chandelier in the middle, providing light, but darkness too. It reminded her of her childhood, when she'd had a few sleepovers with her friend. She snapped back to reality, and realized if she wanted a good spot, she'd have to claim it. Julia rushed to a bunk bed and plopped her bag on top. Sure, she did want to try out the sleeping bags and what looked like a... Pillow bed? If that was a thing. But for her first night, she was sleeping on the bunk bed. At the top. She took a better look around and realized someone else was there. It was... Laasya. She too looked awestruck at the room, and since they were roomies (And Figure skating partners if Julia remembered well), Julia decided to go say hi. She scrambled down her bed, and made her way across the room, where Laasya stood, admiring all the other details. The criss-cross pattern on the wall, the stars that decorated every inch if the room, to her, it truly felt like a magical fairytale. Julia shifted her focus to Laasya. She was just like Julia remembered her. Long, wavy black hair, today in a ponytail, big brown eyes, tan skin, about 5ft, 0”, and a skinny build. She looked pretty and kind, but also brave and adventurous. She smiled as she went over then said playfully,"So we meet again... How are you? Not seen much you lately. Do you know where Lily is?" |
