When Liam had arrived at Hogwarts he was very excited to be at Hogwarts he could not get over the fact he was standing in the great hall. His eyes were drawn to all the decorations that were up around the hall he couldn’t help but notice the banners of the 4 houses he sat there staring at them and thinking to himself what house will I be sorted into then he thought a little harder and would be happy with Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff as the sorting ceremony began a professor strode at the front of the hall and started to call new students names as they called names and the hat made the decisions there was cheering and shouting after each person had been sorted into there houses when it got closer to Liam’s go the emotions kicked in he kept thinking what if I’m put into slytherin I’d be the first person in my family to be put into slytherin. If I was put in @ slytherin what would my family say about it. Liam could not bare the thought of being in slytherin at that moment the professor calls Liam west and I stand up and walk other to the stool where the professor was holding a hat as i sat down the hat was placed on my head and I was sorted into
Hufflepuff.@Edith Alarie

Considering this would only be Aodhan's second year attending Hogwarts, he was still able to find excitement in the very first day. After all, it was vastly different from his first experience visiting the castle, what with being pranked by a giant, sentient squid and getting attacked by grindylows. Although there was far less going on in comparison, the flood of new faces undergoing the sorting ceremony was novel enough to keep his interest.

He whooped whenever a first year was sorted into Gryffindor, and booed anytime he saw someone join the Slytherin ranks. He didn't even hold anything against that house; he just found it funny to play into the stereotypes of hating them. It especially tickled him to see the snakes glare in his direction, so easily falling for the bait and providing him with ample entertainment.

As for the other houses, he settled for polite clapping and whistles anytime they gained new members, even if they didn't maintain his attention as much. To be honest, it was a bit odd how he barely knew any Ravenclaws or Hufflepuffs. That is, he didn't know many personally. None beyond a certain redhead and his favorite fellow muggleborn.

Absentmindedly, he stared at the first year sat up front, the same one freshly assigned to Hufflepuff. What was their name again? Liam... something? He couldn't remember, because he really wasn't paying enough attention. Regardless, he kept an intense gaze on the other boy... before his expression broke out into a silly one, with crossed eyes and his tongue sticking out. The least Aodhan could do was try to make this guy laugh on the first day, right?
