WHO WE ARE
Well, as shown in the title, we are a weekly newspaper writing club! We do not exist to replace the Hogwarts Headliner in any way, but we are here to rather give people who don't have Discord a chance to test their writing skills and write weekly articles for all to enjoy!
RULES
Reducio
1. No AI Generated Text. You may not use AI to generate or come up with an article word per word for you. All writing must be in your own words.
→ This is specifically text only, because I have no qualms with using AI for images because editing photos are extremely difficult unless you’re proficient, and you’re free to make the images yourself or generate it.)

2. If you used a source for your research (interview, harry potter wiki, etc. Please cite them accordingly at the bottom of your article.)

3. No godmodding. If you use someone in your article that exists onsite, please ensure you get their consent to be used to avoid complications and problems. Also, on this team, we do not speak on behalf of staff or official systems or roles.

4. No canon creation. What this means is, do not create lore that does not exist outside of Hogwarts.io (hio) or the official Harry Potter Fandom Wiki or on Pottermore. Just as a note, hio lore takes priority over the other lore as we have expanded upon ours.

5. Consent Required. This is a big one. The reason Consent is required is because if you are using someone’s name or character without them knowing or against what they agreed to, you’re in trouble if you don’t have clear and written consent. This must be logged in owls. If proof is ever requested, it is expected that you have this owl as proof.
To ask for consent, you can come up with your own words, or you could use this template: Hello! I am owling you in regards to an article I’m writing for a club, NAME. The topic is TOPIC. I plan on using your character or their name in my article and I am requesting for your consent. Please reply to this owl with a yes or no. If a yes, please provide, if any, limitations to what I can write in regards to your character.

6. Keep It In-Character. Articles should be written IC unless the topic is explicitly OOC (and this should be stated in the article as well) or uses one of the Anonymous Characters ie: Rachel and Trevor.

7. Deadlines Matter. If you signed up to this club to write a weekly article, you’re expected to deliver. If you cannot, please communicate early so someone else can take the slot.

8. Keep It Fun. Please have fun writing the articles, it is meant to serve as a creative outlet where we can come up with our own chaos and drama 😛
ROLES AND PAYMENT
Reducio
Leadership Structure
Journalists - These folks are considered the writers for the newspaper. They will write about whatever topics that they can think of or about what the week's topic is about. This can also include reporting the news and weather or trending stories.

Correspondent - These folks write about events or news that occur outside of Ireland, Wales, Scotland and Great Britain. They are still considered Journalists but their specialties will be on international topics rather than specifically what goes on in the areas Hogwarts covers. To reiterate, they produce content on a particular subject from a specific area. In this case, depending on how many members there are, it is currently internationally excluding the United Kingdom.

Editor: They edit the text for mistakes or typos, and check to ensure the sentences are accurate and clear. They also are tasked to come up with story topics and helping the Editor in Chief plan out a schedule for articles and who writes them.

Editor in Chief (#6597a2): The Editor in Chief basically calls all of the shots, oversee production and publication, manage members that join the articles, step in and code/write/edit if needed, and serve as the final point of contact over the articles.

Payment:
Vladislav Note: This is not official, so you don’t get a daily stipend, but for every article released by the scheduled date, by the person who signed up for that role and did the work, out of the kindness of my heart, but also I feel it as an obligation for your effort, I will pay 10 sickles per person; (1) Article Journalist, (2) Editor (assigned), (3) Coder. This is a three day stipend collection period for me, but it’s important to me that your work is recognized and you receive compensation for the effort. In total, I’m paying 30 sickles weekly, 10 sickles per person who contributed to a published weekly article.
→ IN short: Vlad is the one paying, but even then, a payment is not guaranteed. This is just for fun. Vladislav feels like your efforts are worth some compensation.

Added! Don't worry about not being able to post weekly. The writers will switch and only write an article once a month, but I just wanted to make sure you'd be active weekly for communication purposes. :)
