Lying By The Lake

Piper sat by the lake, her feet tucked, very content. She plopped her head on the tree she was sitting by. Everything was...perfect. Piper usually was very shy, but she had warmed up to a friend---Cecilia Nightshade. But she was determined to find more friends too. Seeing that Cecilia was nice, it made Piper think other people can be very kind too.
As she lay by the shore, she wondered if anyone else wanted to get to know her. She had heard of some names that were quite poplular, but thought it was best to keep to herself, and only engage unless some wanted to.
Yet again, Piper shouldn't listen to herself for advice---she was horrible at making friends! What if she said the wrong thing? What if they hated her from the start, even if she didn't say even a word? What if they thought of her as the "shy girl?" Then what???
What was so easy about Cecilia is that she always knew what to say to her---it was like an unbrakeable bond from the start. Perhaps another person would be willing to befriend her. She preferred quiter people, such as Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws---yes, she admired Gryffindors for their bravery, but they were so loud, and the oppisite of her---what was she thinking? Already judging and singling out another house for their stereotype? What was wrong with her?
