Inside one of the compartments, Ada sat by the window, absently watching the world blur by. Her dark brown hair was wild and messy as always. the breeze blowing from a crack in the window was blowing tufts of red and brown in her face as she watched the scenery begin to slip away as the train started moving. Snow capped hills blurred together as the train picked up speed.
While it was nice to be home, the Christmas holidays, her quiet house in the lonely snow covered mountains was too still without the hustle and bustle she had grown accustom to inside the halls of Hogwarts. She wouldn't admit it, not even to herself, but she kinda missed all the noise, even if she had to escape it sometimes.

Now, on the train back to Hogwarts, Ada was more than ready to sink back into the familiar rhythm of school life.

She absentmindedly played with Nox's fur, wrapping the long cream colored tufts around her fingers. He purred, wagging his short bunny's tail like a dog. Then the compartment door slid open and a girl stepped inside.

I got on the train still thinking about finding Cordelia. But I found my self sitting alone. I guess I figured would find her later. Hen I got on the train, I found the first empty compartment I could, and waved by to my parents. Maybe Cordelia got here earlier than me.
I spread a little blanket under the seat and on top of the seat I was sitting on. I laid Bandit’s bed on the seat next to where I was sitting and I puts her other usual bed underneath of the seat. I have both of er beds with me because I’m bringing her usual bed with me to hogwarts, and she has a bed for traveling that I thought might make the trips to and from hogwarts a little easier for her.
After Bandit was settled, (I also gave Her a treat to help her.) I pulled out my book on the dark forces, and tried to get a little bit ahead in Defense against the dark arts. I read for a while but eventually got bored, so I decided that I would try and find Cordelia. I Picked up Bandit and t her leash in my pocket. Just n case she decides to make a run for it
As soon as I stepped out of my compartment, I saw that cool girl with red tips in her hair. I didn't really think that she’d seen Cordelia but It was worth a shot, and something made me think that talking to her might overall be fun.
“Hi, I’m Grace, this is my ferret Bandit, well really it’s Bandit Noodle pippin kneazle the first. Have you seen my friend Cordelia? I was hoping to sit with her today but couldn’t find her in time.” I said. “Oh and what’s your cat’s name?”

Then I noticed that the other had spoken to me. “Oh. Hi Ada. I think I might sit, but I did put all of Bandit’s things in that other compartment.” I sat down on the seat and let bandit out of my arms. She carefully started sneaking up by where Nox was, as if she was trying to survey what was going on. Then the train seemed to hit a bump, and it shook a bit. As it did so, Bandit got scared and ran back into my arms, curling up where I was awaiting her. I pulled another treat from my pocket and gave it to Bandit. “It’s okay Bandy, it’s ok girl.” I cooed to bandit. After the train started going smoother, it seemed to get quieter in the compartment. The only sounds, bing the wind whipping against the train. Oh no. Did I do something wrong? Why is everything so quiet? Am I really the only one who ever talks as much as I do?! I kept looking around at Nox, and then at Bandit. “The red streaks in your hair look really cool.” I said. Trying to fill the silence between the people and animals in the compartment. “Do you think I could sit here for the rest of the train ride?” I really felt better when I wasn’t the only one in the compartment. Being an only child in a two parent home, I’ve always felt really lonely anytime I was alone. Part of the reason I yap so much is because, science feels lonely. And I hate loneliness. Filling the scilence is what I do.
