Dogweed and Deathcap is a long-established magical plant shop located in Diagon Alley in London, nestled among apothecaries, bookshops, and cauldron suppliers. While Dogweed and Deathcap lacks the flashy storefronts of joke shops like Weasley's Wizard Wheezes or the polish of Gringotts, this shop is immediately recognizable to anyone with even a passing interest in magical botany.

The shop sits slightly off the main thoroughfare of Diagon Alley, the façade of Dogweed and Deathcap is partially obscured by creeping vines and hanging baskets of living plants even in the throes of winter somehow. The windows are crowded with greenery, some benign and some decidedly not, making this botany shop one of the more organic-looking storefronts on the street.

Upon entering the shop customers are immediately met with warm, humid air thick with the scent of soil, sap, and crushed leaves. The interior feels more like a greenhouse than a shop, with plants growing along the walls, hanging from rafters, or contained in magically reinforced pots. Pets are not allowed in here, they cannot be trusted near some of the more fragile or dangerous plants.

Soft green light filters through enchanted glass panels in the ceiling, encouraging plant growth regardless of the weather outside. Labels float beside many specimens, updating themselves with care instructions, toxicity warnings, and Ministry classifications in real-time.

Dogweed and Deathcap serves as the living backbone of magical practice where potions begin, cures are cultivated and magic grows slowly.
