The Apothecary is a well-known shop situated along the narrower, darker stretch of Diagon Alley in London. Here, the air seems heavier with magic. Tucked between other long-established magical businesses, its weathered wooden façade and clouded windows mark this shop as a place of serious craft rather than casual browsing.

From the outside, the Apothecary appears dim, slightly foreboding and of course professional. The large pane that measures three-quarters the length of the shop on one side is crowded with jars, some floating, some twitching faintly and others still pulsing with muted color. Handwritten labels clearly mark the glass containers with penmanship that might be as old if not older than the reader.

Once inside the shop, customers are met immediately with a strong, pungent mixture of smells - dried herbs, sulfur, earth, something rotten, sweet and oddly metallic. Heat is dangerous for some of these ingredients so the shop is lit by enchanted, floating, illuminated globes that flicker amber or green depending on the potion stock currently being brewed in the back.

The Apothecary specializes in raw potion ingredients and supplies. Shelves and drawers and packed floor to ceiling with labeled components. Rare and restricted items are kept behind the counter or in locked cabinets. This is not a place for browsing or idle curiosity. Every jar holds potential be it healing or harm and every purchase carries responsibility.
