Magical Menagerie is tucked midway down Diagon Alley in London, its storefront unmistakable even from afar. The windows of this pet shop is crowded with enchanted cages, aquariums, and terrariums stacked in careful disarray. Some vessels glow softly. Other tanks fog with breath from within. Occasionally, something taps against the glass from the inside.

There is a painted sign above the door depicts a procession of magical creatures: kneazles, owls, puffskeins, and stranger silhouettes whose identities are less obvious. The Magical Menagerie hosts numerous pet animals, among them a few exotic options. Cages line the walls from floor to ceiling, while tanks and pens occupy the center of the shop. Enchantments keep predators calm, prey safe, and customers unbitten... most of the time.

Flourish and Blotts is impossible to miss. Even at a distance, one can hear the rustle of turning pages, the muffled thump of a book snapping shut, or the hiss of a volume that very much does not want to be opened.

What One Would Expect to Find in the Magical Menagerie

Magical Menagerie specializes in domesticated and semi-domesticated magical creatures, suitable for students, households, and professionals alike:

• Owls of every size, breed, and temperament
• Cats, kneazles, and kneazle-crosses
• Puffskeins
• Toads in a variety of colors and magical sensitivities
• Rats, mice, and ferrets
• Exotic creatures available by special request and license

Alongside animals, the shop sells:

• Specialized feeds and potions
• Grooming tools and containment charms
• Care manuals and warning pamphlets (often ignored)
