First Year Jitters

I'm on my way to Hogwarts by means of the Hogwarts Express train. I see the magnificent magical train pull up and I, excitedly boarded the Express I shuffle through the many other witches and wizards and end up taking a seat located near the middle of the train. As all of the 1st year witches and wizards and those returning to Hogwarts take their seats and the train takes off, I suddenly get this feeling of dread, fear, and nervousness in my mind and body where the initial excitement once was. Already I had terrible ideas on what the returning students would do to me and all the 1st year students as far as as pranks go. I look out the window of the seat I was sitting in and began daydreaming about what I might expect Hogwarts to be like and even what might be expected of me as a new 1st year student. I've seen several pictures of Hogwarts in old photographs that my mom put neatly into several scrapbooks which she then kept in the attic of my parents' house. But my parents never really talked about their time at Hogwarts growing up so as always I left my brain to its own devices in relation to daydreaming about what Hogwarts would be like for me. I even overheard some of the other students talking about one day applying for a spot on the Quidditch team. It actually sounds like fun! Then I heard the pastries cart outside and suddenly there were kids flooding the cart wanting to get a taste of the best pastries and candy Hogwarts Express had to offer. Overall, I would say I am very nervous because I don't really know what to expect upon arriving at Hogwarts and I'm also nervous because I am afraid I might get lost trying to find my way to my classes. Hopefully I make new friends very soon.
