Final Farewell

“Hurry up! Or else our young witch will miss the train!” Laasya’s father yelled at her mother as they ran through the train station. “Relax! Running this fast is not healthy!” Her mother retorted. Laasya was pulling her trunk with all the stuff she needed for her first year at Hogwarts along with a pet carrier which contained her new cat Pearl which she bought at Diagon Alley as a gift. Pearl was meowing very loudly, as when she tried to rest, Laasya’s dragging of the trolley caused her to jolt awake. “Now, where is Platform 9 3/4? Pearl, stop meowing and distracting me!” Her father thought aloud. “There is Platform 9 and a Platform 10, but no Platform 9 3/4.” Laasya replied. They tried to ask somebody but they were no help. Just then Laasya noticed another wizard like her running towards a wall between the two platforms. “They’re going to get a concussion!” Laasya’s mother screamed in horror, loud enough for the people nearby to stare. But nothing happened to the wizard. Instead they went through the wall as if there was a hidden door. “Wait, is that how to get to Platform 9 3/4?” Her dad asked after watching in surprise. “I guess so.” Her mother replied. “Come on! I don’t want to miss my train!” Laasya said while approaching the wall. Laasya was the first one to pass through it. After a few seconds or so, Laasya could hear the sound of a train approaching and chatter all around. She opened her eyes to see herself at Platform 9 3/4. Her parents appeared next to her, looking shocked. The train approached and halted at the station. All the witches and wizards said bye to their parents, siblings and whoever else came to see them off. Laasya’s parents hugged her for a whole minute. “Be safe my dear! Make sure to write letters to us!” Her mother said while finally letting her go. “Make us proud little witch!” Her father added. Laasya waved her final bye as she stepped onto the express, away from the muggle world and into the Wizarding world.
