Walking to Charms class Elowin was happily whistling. She was thinking about how happy and pleased she was to be at Hogwarts and she was also excited to see her baby brother when he was born.

In a daze of thoughts Elowin hadn’t realised how she was going to be late to Charms! In a rush of realisation she sprinted through the corridor at top speed. She opened the classroom door just in time and looked for an empty desk. She spotted one next to someone she vaguely knew of. A hufflepuff with brown hair, Alex Thompson. ‘Oh, well can’t hurt to sit next to him I guess’ She walked over to the desk next to him and gave him a smile. He smiled back. ‘Does he know me or is he just friendly? Either way he seems nice. Maybe we could be friends?’ with that thought in her head Elowin turned her head towards Professor Fresnel as she began the lesson. She sort of interested in Charms so she listened to the start of the lesson then turned to face Alex, “ Hey, I’m Elowin. Nice to meet you. she whispered.

Alex was sitting in a class full of curious first-year students like him. But unfortunately No one sat with him. He was quite sad because after all, he wasn't that bad, or was he?? He thought, "Am I bad?? Yeah, I am!! That is why I am alone." He looked around, hoping someone would sit next to him, but no one sat. His heart fell, but at last he couldn't do anything. He was ready to think that, like this, he would never make any friends in Hogwarts, and he would always stay lonely.

But, to his most delightful surprise, a girl sat next to him. But her appearance was quite different. She had almost pink hair, and she was wearing a mask with a fake unicorn horn on it. Alex wanted to laugh out loud, but he thought, "No!! No!! It will be both disrespectful and rude." Right then, she heard her saying that she was Elowin. Alex replied politely in a whisper, "Heyy!! I am Alex. Same here.. " He decided to be honest and ask further, "What's up with this pink hair and unicorn mask??" Alex made sure his tone was polite and respectful.

He didn't want to make her feel bad about what she was wearing, but instead was curious why she was wearing something so odd. Curiosity, this thing might land Alex in some serious problems one day, but also help him understand and learn magic better.
