She Just Wanted a Snack
Rosalyn walked through the Small Hall, hoping to pop into the Great Hall. It was late afternoon, not quite dinner, but she was still hopeful to be able to grab a snack. She was planning to go and study a bit for an upcoming exam, and wanted some food to keep her awake and alert for that.
"Whoops." she said, accidentally tripping over thin air, which was not too uncommon for her. She was very clumsy, and this did happen often, but not too often. She assumed that she was just tired, because she had been staying up quite late recently. Not anything too crazy, but just late enough while reading or studying to be a bit tired the next day.
She continued walking, able to see the fireplace at the end of the hall, meaning that she was very close to the entrance into the Great Hall, and hopefully a snack. If she was not able to get any food, she was planning on still studying, and just waiting until dinner.
She looked down for a second, checking to make sure that she had her textbook and supplies with her, because she intended to go straight to the Library after this.
In that second that she looked down, she felt herself accidentally knock into someone else. Not hard, and she heard nothing fall, but still, she felt bad.
"I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going. Are you okay?" she asked, looking up at the person that she had bumped into, hoping that nobody was injured from her momentary lapse in caution.

She Just Wanted a Snack
"no worries. Slytherin huh? I'm jealous anyways you might be the first person here i've encountered who is the magical world- and has grown up in it. So many half-bloods and muggleborns these days" She gave her a friendly look over obviously jealous "So I'm guessing you're from hogsmede or hidden village like mine or some estate like the malfoys then? What's the name of your house elf?" She then started grabbing books on modern muggles and their technologies. Man muggles are useless with their things and so wasteful no wonder they can't get along not when they're destroying the world and each other in the process. Áine then gasped eyes wide in the book there was a picture of something called ....hydrogen bomb? and a moving picture of the explosion it created. She dropped the book with a scream HOW COULD THEY? Look at this girl- I never caught your name dear but look..How vile how AWFUL do you have to be to make something like this?" That's it muggles are vile i'd never want to associate with them or anyone LIKE them. Vile people can't even respect the planet she frowned thinking about all those who must've suffered as kept flipping though the book horror dawning on each her face

"Oh, um, my name is Rosalyn. And, uh, what's a House elf?" Rosalyn asked, very, very confused. The girl had mentioned something about a Malfoy, whatever that was, and a Hogsmeade, which was equally confusing. Maybe those were names? Or drinks? Or...yeah, she had no clue.
"Oh, a hydrogen bomb? We learned about those in class. I mean, I guess they are pretty vile." she said, as the girl picked up a book, promptly dropped it, screaming, then picked it up and began looking through it again.
"Um, are you a first year too? Or no? And what's your name? Sorry, I don't really know what I'm doing here." she said, still a bit confused, and startled at the girl's sudden scream. But, she was equally as startled when she looked down at the book the girl was flipping through and saw the pictures move. Like, truly move. She was worried it was a trick of her eyes or something, because last time she checked, pictures didn't just move. Not in books.
Well, it was already turning out to be a very interesting snack run. But, who knows. Maybe Rosalyn and this girl would become friends, she seemed pretty friendly. Well, only time will tell.
