Basil grabbed his satchel as he stepped into the house. It had been almost 5 years since he had been here. Maybe more. He never thought he would be back.
"Basil-chill." His little sister, Rose, gave his shoulder a little shove. He gave her a small smile before looking into the house again. Rose pulled out her notepad and frowned.
"What is it Rose, forgot to do your homework?" Basil asked. Now that they went to the same school he saw her more often. As much as he refused to admit he was glad. Since they were so close in age he had missed her his first year at Ilvermorny. Even though he was a serpent and she wasn't he still saw her on the grounds and in the halls. Not to mention meals.
"No! I did my Herbology homework earlier." Basil grinned at Rose.
"Of course you did your Herbology." Rose opened her mouth to retaliate but then closed it.
"Can you believe were back!" Rose asked. Basil shook his head. It had been a long time since he had been to london.
"Basil, Rose stop staring into the house and help us!" Basil looked up at his mother.
"Sorry mom!" Rose said and eagerly lept up to grab her overnight bag. Basil shook his head and grabbed his bag. Christmas had been so much fun. Seeing his parents and getting a new chess set and a scarf-plus a new sketchpad. Rose pulled Basil into and gasped as she saw the window of the house.
"Look at the snow picture! I forgot how nice london looks in the snow!" Basil grinned as Rose squeeled. He knew that they were only back for a day or two to see some relatives but it was more than enough time to remember that feeling of home. To rember his old home.
