Fire huffed to himself as he shoved his hands into his pockets, a small puff of cooling white leaving his mouth. The bringing of winter had made the air around them crisp and cold. Leaving most students, including him, shivering as they tried to acclimate to the change of weather. The boy had dragged himself outdoors after reviewing a letter from his father.

The Hufflepuff was miles away from his family yet he still found himself bound to their rules and expectations for him. Fire was known to be someone who bent the rules, but when it came to his parents words it was hard not to follow. He hated sometimes how it seemed he was just his parents drone, and they seemed to control them with a small little controller from afar. That's what Fire had guessed his house sorting had come into play.

Most would assume that the boy would have been sorted into Gryffindor given his strong seemingly untameable personality, and hard-headedness. But Fire had known why he had gotten Hufflepuff, it was his undying loyalty for his family and friends. Even if he was against it all he owed them his companionship, since they gave him theirs. Also in reality, outside of the facade he put on, deep down Fire was just a scared little kid, one afraid of his father and not living up to the expectations. So he acted out, borderline bullying others, just to seem tough and not see who he truly was. A coward.

The boy looked up as he heard whirring overhead, he was for sure now at his destination. The quidditch training pitch. Due to his father's wishes and also for his own enjoyment the boy had decided to tryout and hopefully join a sports team. He didn't know too much about wizarding sports, since his father mostly dabbled within the muggle ones, but that wouldn't stop Fire from learning.

He had attended a game previously, stopping by the different sports as an onlooker to decide which one seemed the most interesting one to play. Therefore landing on his final decision of Quidditch. He exhaled as he leaned against the small fencing that surrounded the area of the practice grounds, watching carefully, articulating their moves so he could learn, replicate, and master. Fire's eyes followed intensely every sharp turn and smack of the ball, watching it fly past like a turpedo back and forth between players. He bit his cheek, subconsciously gnawing from hus nerves as he thought about how his first game would go.

Whilst watching he recognized one of the players who were zipping across the sky, a boy with short dark hair and borderline unnerving, piercing blue eyes. He seemed older, maybe 16 at most? There was no denying that he was pretty good, but practice was always different than in-game. Fire then turned away from the fence deciding to sit somewhere to get a better view, settling for a spot on the grass since he knew he'd be here for a while.
