Equipped with enchanted shopping bags, Campion and his very large family set upon Diagon Alley with the same fervor and excitement of every year. This would be the first year here for his small brother, but Campion had been here once a year for some years now, accompanying his older brother and sisters. Last year had been particularly exciting -- Campion would get to see, at an age he could understand, precisely what was awaiting him the following year when the twins went through their first year supplies.

Now it was Campion's turn.

The first step was Flourish and Blotts to collect his books. Flourish and Blotts was always fascinating. Wizarding books looked little like the Muggle books he was accustomed to, and some of them didn't act like it either. And for that matter, books in this place were everywhere. On shelves, of course, but also on tables of various shapes and sizes, and even on the floor in stacks taller than Campion.

After some looking around, Campion and his siblings finally collected the necessary books for their upcoming school year, placed into enchanted shopping bags that could carry more without breaking but were not so expensive as to make that a comfortable experience.
