Chrimas Letter for Emily

Dear Emily,
What a beautiful Christmas it is, my dear friend! Winter’s chill is felt everywhere, and the sight of tiny little sparkling frost on each and every windowsill makes one think about you and all the magic this season brings. When I think about Christmas time in the wizarding world, I only see mysterious things happening—how the candles glow for a little bit longer by themselves, how the carols are coming in a very light manner as if carried by invisible wings, and how every snowfall is like a pretty blessing given from the stars.I wish you to have holidays full of joy, fun, laughter, and an enchantment that not even the most mischievous fairy could create. Just picture it: we're both walking in Hogsmeade down a street that is lit by lanterns, our scarves flying while gentle flakes are falling all around us. It is Honeydukes that I’d most definitely drag you into so that we can both pick out the tastiest candy canes—maybe even those that can whirl colors in the air when you say something. Then, let’s go get into the Three Broomsticks for two cups of hot chocolate topped with whipped snow-cream, which, I dare say, is moonlight that has taken the form of food and is now glistening.It is not very hard for me to visualize the Hogwarts Christmas tree, a giant one and lovely for sure; the tree’s arms have wowed-like glittering things that make each stuffed toy on the tree fade in softly and quietly. I wish that you could see it together with me. Perhaps, someday we’ll be standing there and listening to the Frog Choir when their harmonies get floating in the Great Hall.This time of year is a perfect reminder of how fortunate I am to count you among my friends. If I were to compare your kindness to anything, I’d say it’s a charm, the kind that’s very much like a comforting, loving, and bright one, and it even has the power of making the darkest winter night be lit. I’m really very thankful that you’re the kind of person I’m always able to lean on and the kind of person who, through every moment we share, becomes a bringer of laughter and light.Wishing you a Christmas full of magic, wonder, and everything of which your heart dreams.
