This is an open-ended story. Feel free to imagine whatever you want, or even continue the story in the thread below.

I first noticed the letters on my fifth day at Hogwarts.
Breakfast was buzzing around me , the clatter of spoons, chatter of people and the constant flutter of owl wings as owls delivered letters to their recipients. I was halfway through spreading marmalade on my toast when a Letter appeared directly in front of my plate. No owl delivered it. No hand placed it. I was shook. It had just… appeared. I stared at it for a moment before sliding it cautiously closer. The handwriting was neat and cleanly written in flowing green ink. I quickly opened it up. It read: *You observe more than you speak. Good. Watch carefully today.* I looked around immediately.
Nothing.
No one watching me.
I quietly slipped the letter into my robe pocket. And the day went on as normal as every day. The next morning, I came in for breakfast determined to ignore everything. I sat between a Ravenclaw boy and a Ravenclaw girl. They were acquaintances more than friends. I told myself No letters today. It was a fluke. Then I reached for the pumpkin juice and saw another folded parchment already waiting by my glass. Again ,no owl, no delivery. I opened it under the table.

*You hear the castle better than others do. Trust that.*
My heart beat quickened. I wasn’t sure which was more unsettling ,the content… or the fact that someone was watching me so closely. Who was this? A prankster? A professor? Someone invisible?
Every morning, without fail. Another parchment. Another message.

*You walk where secrets breathe.*
*You are never alone.*
*Magic listens when you think, not only when you speak.*

Each message came, touching thoughts I hadn’t voiced, behaviors I hadn’t realized others noticed. It was intimate, unsettling… and impossible to ignore. And every single one arrived only in the Great Hall. Not in the dorm. Not in class. Not in the library.
Only here, Only at mealtime.

My housemates started joking about a “secret admirer.” They teased me. I tried to laugh it off, but inside… I wasn’t convinced this was admiration. It felt older. Ancient.
Sometimes as I ate, I’d glance up at the enchanted ceiling — a perfect mirror of the sky outside — and wonder if something in the air was watching me. Sometimes I suspected the portraits. Sometimes the ghosts. One morning, before I even sat down, a seventh letter was already waiting in my place. Same pale parchment, same neat script. I opened it. I froze.

*You are close now. Do not trust the obvious sources.*

Obvious sources?
What did it mean?
I looked up and scanned the hall, every student, every glowing candle, every delivering owl.
But no luck.

One evening, at dinner rather than breakfast, I felt watched in a distinctly heavy way , like someone’s eyes were burning into my back. I tried to ignore it. Then I looked down… and there it was. Another letter. This one… not folded. Just sitting openly on the table. The message:

*Look behind you.*

My heart skipped a beat. I didn’t turn. Not immediately. I waited — five long seconds with my pulse pounding in my ears. Then slowly… I twisted around.
And saw—

A hooded figure standing near the far entrance of the Great Hall.
Dark cloak. Face shadowed. Still as stone. Looking directly at me. No one else seemed aware of them. None of the students reacted. None of the professors paused their eating. It was like… only I could see them. I jerked back around to the front. My hands shook. The letter was still there. But now two new words had appeared beneath the original line — as though written in real time:

*Don’t look away.*

My hand clenched the parchment. My heartbeat drummed so loud it drowned out the hall’s noise. I turned again, slowly, terrified. And in that moment, The hooded figure began walking directly toward me.
Not rushed. Not hesitant.Calm. Purposeful. A presence like old magic.

I could feel every student around me going on with life as normal ,laughing, chewing, talking .Completely unaware.

They moved closer…

closer…

closer…

Your lips, my lips, apocalypse
