It's Raining Books

Derek was in the library, so far his favorite place at Hogwarts, only followed by DADA. He was up and ready in the morning, racing to finish breakfast, and then practically flying o the library. Why? To read. He was finishing an exciting fantasy series, and couldn't wait to get the last book. But when he got there, and asked the House-Elves while still trying to catch his breath, he was met with the answer of, 'Terribly sorry, but it's been took out already.'OOC Notes-

Derek had sighed and collapsed in a chair, rubbing his eyes.
He had woke up so early to get it, only to find it was already took out. Derek grabbed his satchel and started to rummage in it, searching for his quill and a scrap piece of parchment. He quickly wrote down the title, when, rip! His satchel's seam had been ripped apart, and all his books tumbled out, landing on his feet. Derek wince in pain, but still not questioning the practice of lugging around 'heavy and scary bundles of knowledge.'
Derek rubbed his eyes and got to repairing it. He searched through the pile of books and parchment, trying to find his wand. Okay, ew, why is there a mouse in my satchel-oh, of course Perseus. He smirked at the thought of his extraordinarily smart owl, Perseus, who acted like he was the one taking care of Derek, not the other way around. Spare pieces of parchment, nope, broken quills, nope, a brown gnarled stick, some ink-bottles, wait, a brown gnarled stick? My wand!
He fished it out, and muttered, "Reparo!" The satchel's seams stitched together, becoming one whole again. He carefully stacked the books inside, and placed the broken quills, the empty ink bottles and the crumpled pieces of parchment in the rubbish bin.
When he finished his momentary itinerary, he started pursuing the shelves for another great read in the meantime, waiting for the person who has the book he wants to return it safely back to the library. They better, Derek thought, or else they're in for a rude awakening. He went back to looking at the selves, when he finally decide on reading a non-fiction about medieval witch-burnings. He started reading it, nestled in a comfy chintz sofa.
It was about a few hours later when he finally finished the books, and when he looked outside, the sun was high in the sky, making all the frost outside to slightly melt. He smiled to himself when he thought of how much fun Perseus must be having, swooping in the sky and catching the poor mice in the field, who would wake up to be lunch.
Derek put the book on witch-burnings back in its proper spot, when suddenly, crash! His satchel had split apart again! He really needed another satchel to hold his books. He strode back to his table and muttered, Reparo! again. He looked in the bag to see what had made it happen again, when he realized how many books he had piled inside. There were texts, fantasy, mystery, all genres you could think of. So maybe I'm being a bit unreasonable, he thought, grabbing some of the book and put it on the table.
He stretched, cracking some of his bones, and looked at the time again. It was a few minutes past twelve. He had better get back to the common room, or he won't finish writing that extra curricular book report he was preparing. Derek grabbed an arm-load of books in one hand, and his satchel in the other. There was still a few more books on the table, but he didn't know how to balance them, when he had an idea.
A few minutes later, he had all the remaining books balanced precariously on his head, and was making his way to the library door when he remembered he didn't check the library counter to see if they returned the book he really wanted. Derek didn't know if he should, because his heart says that yes, he should, but his brain told him, no, what if it in't there and you get really sad and moody? He was standing there awkwardly, debating the pros and cons of going. Then, he made up his mind.
Derek hurried to the counter, well as much as he can while balancing a ton of books on his head. His gaze of sight was obstructed, so he bent down on his knees to peer at the counter. What he saw almost made him cry with joy-the book he wanted was there! He grabbed it with his foot, well hooked, and did an insanely hard flip to tip it onto his head. It landed perfectly.
Derek walked out of the library, beaming as bright as he could.
