For me
Lindsey had only met to look, not buy. She barely had enough money to buy school supplies, let alone a pet. Thankfully, since her birthday was coming up, Autumn, her sister, had lent her a few gallons so she could buy herself a birthday present since Lindsey wouldn't see Autumn over the holidays. Lindsey had walked in awe over all the shops in Diagon Ally for the holidays since it was getting close to christmas. With all the decor, it was like a winter wonderland. It even snowed. Bundled up in scarfs and jackets, Lindsey walked into the magical menagerie looking for an owl. Autumn, was just a little away just in case Lindsey needed her or they ran into some older kids.
As Lindsey walked in, the smell overwhelmed her greatly but she preserved and looked around surveying the pets. She headed to the owl section, at least she thought till she ended up over by the cats. Cats? But she wanted an owl. She must have missed her snowflake (her cat that died when she was 10). Autumn had asked, "what are we doing here? "I thought we wanted to go to the owl section?"
Lindsey replied," I guess I want a cat."
Lindsey looked around. Then she saw it, a cat. His grey fur shining in the sunlight, his pink ears perked and moved with every sound. It was the cat she wanted. His pink nose was so cute. It was that perfect shade. It was love at first sight. She wanted him so bad. He was just so cute. He was a perfect kitty.
Walking up to the grey kitty, she was careful not to spook him. She was gentle when she rubbed his back, and then the kitty woke up. She decided to stoke his nose and he started purring. He turned up side down with his belly showing like I'm so cute, pet me please. It was the kind of pet Lindsey needed. The one that would purr and detract Lindsey when she needed it. Lindsey wanted the cat.
Just then the shopkeeper came up to Lindsey and Autumn got closer to her. He asked; "Would you like that dear kitty? He is pretty cute, I have to say. He also seemed to like you."
Lindsey replied,"Actually, yes I would. How much would he cost?"
"Ten gallons."
Lindsey opened her bag of money and slid the gallons into the counter. Then she picked up the kitty and with Autumn, they walked out of the store.
