Nope! On here, homework is optional, so you don’t have to tell your teachers. If you have RP partners, I recommend posting in the report your absence thread.

I read somewhere in the FAQ that you have to do homework to go to the next year?

To progress to the next year you must simply be indexed. Homework gives you spells and potions, which ideally you would want however you will become a second year even if you don’t touch any of your homework. Let me know if you need help with anything else, or if I’m not making sense.

Amelia is right. In addition, you have to stay indexed. We run an activity check every 6 months (December and May/June). Anyone who hasn’t posted in more than 6 months at the time of the activity check will be removed from the index. If you’re removed, you won’t be able to move up a year.

Furthermore, you will not receive the spells and potions from the previous year by merely graduating. You'd need to do homework or buy the spells/potions in order to receive them in your trunk, and doing the homework of previous years is perfectly fine, but you won't receive house points when doing so. @Calypso Jones
