Hogwarts Awaits!
Anna pushed her trolley down king's cross railway station near to the barriers nine and ten. She paused at the barrier though. It was of paramount importance to make sure that no muggles were watching. As her parents drew level with her, she took a deep breath, and trying to hide her nervousness, broke into a run and passed through the barrier. She had made it.
This place was brilliant! Not as much as gringotts, but was certainly stunning. Kids everywhere were greeting each other, and parents too. But Anna, unfortunately, was a new kid in the wizarding world. She had had no exposure to this world until about a month ago when she got her Hogwarts letter. For now, Anna just looked at the sign saying Platform 9 3/4 and the huge steam engine with the hogwarts crest and bearing the words 'Hogwarts express'. Steam engines were way outdated, she thought, If they wanted to be like muggles nowadays, they should organise a bullet train or better, an aeroplane to Hogwarts. I guess it's too expensive to replace the train or to construct an airfield and get a private jet that can fit so many students comfortably. Anna said goodbye to her parents who wished her their best and promised to write ofter, and waving goodbye, with tears in her eyes, watched as her parents exited the platform. Feeling a bit sad, she pulled her trunk onto the Hogwarts express to begin her life in the wizarding world. Now that thought brought some excitement into her, She was going to Hogwarts!
