Wizarding exchange?!
Anna walked into Gringotts wizarding bank with her parents. There wasn't honestly a lot to do for her since her mum wasn't going to enter her vault and make a withdrawal from there yet, though she mentioned that they were rich in wizard currency, her mum did not want to let Anna into the vault until her second year. For now, her father would exchange muggle currency. They would give her more money than necessary though, for Anna to get whatever she wanted (her parents trusted her to be responsible with what she bought) and were willing to exchange a hundred pounds for that year. Now though, Anna had entered the main marble doors and saw a pair of silver doors bearing an inscription.
That was what was written. It was a bit scary to be honest, but Anna shook away that feeling, for she wasn't a thief and certainly wasn't about to steal anything from this place and she knew it.
Now, she was inside the main hall, and it left her speechless for a minute. This was beautiful! There was a crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling (but with a few copwebs, it must be admitted). There were decorations in gold, which stood out brilliantly against the marble, not least of which was the ornately made clock and torches in elaborate holders. There were goblins in a neat row on each side of them. Some of them were checking coins and putting them into two piles, and in one of them, as Anna watched, the bottom few vanished. Some others were weighing rubies, sapphires and other precious stones which were the size of her fist.
Her parents had already walked up to one of the goblins at the end and she at once hastened to catch up. Her father had pulled out a roll of notes, and gave them to the goblin, who after checking a few things and staring at Anna (this made her uncomfortable, she hated people staring at her), he handed them nineteen gold coins with a dragon on it along with the words 'unum galleon', fifteen slightly smaller silver coins with 'unum sickle' and a dragon in another posture and fifty four (she counted) tiny bronze coins with 'unum knut' and a reindeer? She didn't recognise the animal immediately.
After putting all these into her money bag, in three separate compartments so she could find the right change when she wanted, she thanked the goblin along with her parents and walked out of the main doors, with a spring in her step. Now she could get her school supplies, maybe a few extra items too. She couldn't wait to get her stuff, go to Hogwarts and officially enter the Wizarding world like her mum!
