A rainy departure

It was a rainy day, and Althea was eager to arrive at Hogwarts. Ever since she’d gotten her letter, she couldn’t wait to finally become a student there. Her older brother, Atticus, always spoke so highly about the school, which created many expectations in her mind.
As she arrived at platform 9 3/4, she said goodbye to her parents, Rose and Lincoln. She gave each of them a big hug and took one final moment to feel their embrace.
“Bye Mum, I love you,” she said as her she nestled deeper into her mother’s arms.
“I’ll miss you dad,” she turned and said to her father as she gave him one final hug as well.
“Goodbye sweetheart. We love you lots,” her father said.
“Take good care of her, Atticus,” her mother added.
He scoffed lightly and replied “You know I will Mum.”
“Alright Thea, you ready?” her brother asked with a smirk.
“As ready as I’ll ever be,” she replied quietly as she grabbed her trunk and stepped onto the train.
Althea was quite anxious as she entered the train, but she knew she was safe with her brother. Together, they found a compartment and settled in for the long ride ahead of them.
Althea took out her book “The picture of Dorian Gray,” and begun to read. After a while her eyes grew heavy and she rested her head on Atticus’ shoulder, drifting into a soft slumber. Little did she know that when she awoke, she would be at Hogwarts.
